I was doing some speed tests to get some idea how much beneifit the assembly was giving:

Setting:
Auto frameskip on
FPS display on
Filter Super 2xSaI
Linear filtering

Game:
Chrono Trigger

in xSnes9x the FPS averaged in the 40's

in ZsnexBox the fps never left 60

That's the raw power that is Zsnes.

Bring on the HQ2X filter and maybe even HQ4X for 720p and 1080i video modes. Should be playable no doubt pop.gif

I have already implemeted HQ2x. I havn't figured out how to clear the buffers when changing games so it wasn't released in 1.2

Unfortunatly, it doesn't look that great. It's blurry and hits the FPS hard. Most games are in the low 50's and it doesn't look any better than Super Eagle (in my opinion).

I will release it anyway in a later release.

Has anyone tried the BS ROMS with this emulator?  BS-Zelda is one of my favorite games for the SNES, as a result I have two installs of xSNES9x on my XBox because 1.42 won't play the BS games while 1.41-1 will.

Its not like he didn't post it in his opening statement  blink.gif ....  Go to http://xbox.nugnugnug.com for all of your Xbox art packs and other emulation needs.

As FredC said, I would love to see directory support as well, for us full romset users

Also, I hope your considering a "Favorites Browser" as well.

I can't wait to tear through Link To The Past again in ZSNES.

Thank You for your work. It's extremely appreciated!

@ Pheidias...Thanks. It was the fact that I had .smc files and not zipped files that was blocking my previews from showing. Anyone help me with removing the '[!]' with Goodsnes? I got the 'nosep' to remove the spaces, but can't figure the other one out.

Please don't be in a rush to release another version if all you've done was added a filter. I think you should spend more time you have for polishing the emulator, and adding in other features (preferably requests) other that just one filter. but this is just mo.

I have. I have 3 different versions of the rom. 2 are patched, and 1 isn't. No go here.

Yeah, I just have a standrd tv and super 2xSai looks 1000 times better than hq2x and runs a lot faster. Maybe if I had a HDTV it would look better.

nes : i wanted to request something like this, but thought i'd wait since you still have more important things to do than fluff.
You (accidently) hit it right on!
The way you now setup state saves is a dream come true for me.
FINALLY allows me to use state saves with my original snes gamepad hardwired to a xbox one.

The only thing i can ask is that if you ever switch to a menu or whatever else, to keep the option of these combos(or keep them to open said menu)

second thing:
http://www.hiend3d.com/hq2x.html

this is the original hq2x page.

I thought it was less/looked less blurry than super / sai

also think someone mentionned some LQxX filters, wich would be like HQ but whitout antialiasing (think its from VBA) maybe this would give a big performance boost?

This may be an awful question, or a Newbie question(sorry) but why is there 3 parts to this d/l? Also which one do I get? Much help is appreciated.

You need all of them, then unrar them, starting with the first one.  It'll need them all to work it

Thanks for including Save folders in with the xbe and not E:Tdata as it means i can disable the states by either deleting or renaming them

I will however be writing to somewhere other than /save/sram etc... in the future to allow people to run the emulator off a DVD/CD or at least allow setting these paths in the ini
