Hi all,

I am a complete newbee at modding the x360. Just bought a faulty 360 from a local car boot sale. I have managed to get it powered up - psu fault. All I get is an E65 error. I am a electronics technican by trade - I removed the dvd and took a quick look at it. There has been some work done on the falsh memory ic. There was a very badly soldered connection for the 5v supply(which is now resoldered and has 5v at the ic) - and also pin 13(DQ0) and pin 24(OE#) had solder legs on them - variation on the vcc mod?. Is there anything I can do to get this drive working again? I dont have a sata card etc to see if the flash files are available. Can anyone help me, or is there anyone that can repair this drive?

They did dual firmware mod as far as i see.You can desolder the chip and read and flash firmware again.
