Not bad, switchable firmware is nice for online/offline mode like the orignal xbox, just that black goop that is on most 360's in the last year doesn't seem like fun and alot more work to do that, plus install the chip and $60 for the chip, ouch.

It says it supports all drives on the market does that include the Hitachi 79?

The Globe 360 acts as a chip programmer. You basically have to wire up every pin of the firmware chip. If the firmware is an SST 39VF020, it will work.
