i need to burn the slax on cd or dvd disc is good too?

For the rest you can use C4E's Xtrem1.2rev2 package.

i just bought my elite yesterday and its my first time. i just have it opened up and ran into this thread. i have a 0079fk firmware. i will really appreciate it if someone can tell me what else do i need to prepare for besides this unreleased toolbox

Get a slax cd. That and the firmware toolbox 4.0 will be all you need.

also the only other thing i need is a sata cable right?

download slax 2.1 and make sure that your sata chipset is compatible...

So with this toolbox, I can take my v78 Hitachi and plug it into my PC like any other drive? Hate to ask such a horendously noobish question on my 1st post.
