Great Emu.

I think it's rather unfortunate that lantus's port is taking such a beating - it is a great emu as well. I find it hard to believe how some people are so unhappy with an emu which has given me countless hours of fun on my xbox!

Thumbs up to the both of you!

my take is if its good for the scene..which it obviously is...then its good enough for me.

excellent work nes6502

xSNES9x will still have place, especially since I was used to SNES96, then SNES97.  It was great when those two were merged to SNES9x, AND with sound.  Ive tried zSNES and it does seem to run better, but from what I remember the SNES9x sources were better documented for more portability.  It makes sense though that for more progress to be done, it is built on the shoulders of those before them.  It was great to see lantus work, and it's awesome to see that nes6502 take up a different field to see what else xbox can do!!

Thanks lantus & nes6502

Starfox 2 (Beta), Starfox 2 (Beta a1), and Starfox 2 (Beta TD) roms seem to work fine... as fine as this crappy game can play.. played for about 10 min on each..

Well done for your hard work on this , we are certainly very lucky.

It would be nice to have the option to disable save states before loading a game.Savestates are great things of course but can sometimes ruin the experience of playing a "real game" .Having this safety net to fall back on lessens the impact of any tension a game's design may have had by giving you this ability to cheat at will.Easy answer is of course not to use it but when all you have to do is press a button or two , then it just makes everything seem like the emulator it is and not an experience after all.

I do love states mind as sometimes we can all get a bit stuck and want to cheat a bit but for a game like zelda for example , it does dilute the enjoyment.

An option to disable before a game would i think be apreciatted by those that can see the point of what i'm saying here.

I think we can all agree that this is a nice and sensible option.

We have this already of course with version 1(no states) but the only thing for me however and others too i'm guessing , is the screen's positioning a little too far left of the screen.I imagine by the time the screen is fully sorted as i'm sure is a priority right now , save states may also be in by then and not toggleable. So it would be a shame to be robbed of this authentic non feature as it is.

Even a second release with just screen positioning more central and no states included as yet would be fantastic.

Here's hoping.

Thanks and good luck on what will surely be a much loved port.

You need to add SAMBA SUPPORT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE

I like to stream the games from my computer like the xport emu's will let you do. I love neogenesis because I have access to 6 gb of roms on a softmodded xbox and 11 gb of game boy/color/advance roms.. with xboy and so on and so forth.. I think all emu's should included SAMBA support. Great for the windows and Linux community.

When puting Xsnes9X and Zsnesbox in the same folder, and renaming the default.xbe to Xsnes9x.xbe and Zsnesbox.XBE, how will I load the emu?

I wish to burn this folder to DVD, but im not sure what will happen without a Default.xbe.

Any thoughts?

It will not auto boot if there is not a "default.xbe". You will have to start the one you want directly or make separate links to them through the dashboard.

Im testing something right now.
Im making a multigame launcher using Zxbtools.
I pointed to xSnes9x and to Zsnesbox .
This will create a Default.xbe that points to each of the emus.
xsnes9x in GAME1 folder and Zsnesbox in GAME2 folder.
The only thing I should need to do is somehow edit the Default.xbe so instead of pointing to the GAME1 or Game2 folders, it just looks in the root for the 2 xbe files.

Editing the Default.xbe is the only thing im not sure about.......
We will see

scratch that.  It is beyond my abilities to make a simple shortcut menu for loading each emu, because all apps I can find are based on the programs being in Game1 Game2.... folders.

Guess I will have to launch each emu from XBMC  blink.gif
