Good job, awesome release!
Nes, i hope you don't mind, correct me if i'm wrong, here's some answer to the questions being asked :
HDTV / Lightgun support : i've been talking to pagefault, and he said not to bother nes with this kind of stuff, He's already busy enough with the core features. He might tackle this kind of extra stuff himself.
Flicker filter : no option, but it looks disabled to me. afaik nes put the code for it to be disabled by default.
7z : There's support for the JMA format, wich is basicly same technology as 7z but tailored for snes roms, so it achieves better compression. It also requires similar/more cpu than 7z.
The problem with goodmerged sets is that it requires solid archiving, wich requires you to skip all the files that come before the one you need. afaik not even zsnes or snes9x on windows/linux support this.
AFAIK again is that from the thread lantus reported he had it working, for just regular compressed 7z files it worked fine, just took a few seconds more to get into the game waiting for it to be decompressed, similar to JMA-compressed roms.
In any case, imho both are overkill. i'd rather keep my rom uncompressed/zipped and have them load instantly. snes roms just aren't big enough to warrant that kind of compression in this day and age.
I'm also curious about a source release. Not that i want to nag you for it.
