ZsnexBox 1.0

This is a beta release. This is also ported from WIP code and not the stable 1.42 release. Therefore, there are

issues in this port that do not exist in 1.42. There are also new features not in 1.42. This comes with no warranty. I am not responsible for any damage this may do to your Xbox.

Features:

99% of all games run full speed with sound with or without filters

Core Features:
1)  Full graphics emulation (stretched)
2)  Full sound emulation
3)  Player 1 input supported.
4)  Rom browser with screenshot preview, background music, and sound effects
5)  SRAM support
6)  Zip file support
7)  SNES file formats supported (smc, sfc, swc, fig, mgd, ufo, bin, 058, 078, 1, usa, eur, jap, jma)

Graphics Features:
8) On screen FPS display (white button enables/black button disables)
9) Software Filters (Super Eagle, 2xSai, Super 2xSai)

Installation:
Unzip the ZsnexBox1.0.zip
Copy the contents to the Xbox hard drive
Put roms in the roms folder
Put previews (in png format) in the previews folder
Run the default.xbe to start the emulator
The software filter is set in the ini. SoftwareFilter=x, where x = 0 (no filter), 1 (Super Eagle), 2 (2xSai), or 3

(Super 2xSai)

Usage:
Gui controls:
Digital/Left Analog up/down moves one item in the rom browser
Left/Right trigger: scrolls fast through the rom browser
A: start game

In Game Controls:
SNES start = Xbox Start
SNES select = Xbox Back
SNES A = Xbox B
SNES B = Xbox A
SNES X = Xbox Y
SNES Y = Xbox X
SNES Left = Left Trigger
SNES Right = Right Trigger
SNES Up/Down/Left/Right = Digital and Left Analog Up/Down/Left/Right
Exit a game by clicking the right Analog stick

Known Issues:
1) Occasionally after exiting a game and starting another, the new game will not start. Exiting the game and
restarting should fix the problem. I don't know if this is a problem with my port or ZSNES.

2) The rom browser does not scroll correctly with less than 17 games

Thanks:
pagefault and the rest of the ZSNES contributors.
The authors of FBAXXX, Genadrive, XVectrix, and the Xport emulators. Much of my source was taken from some or all of these emulators (primarilly for the gui, input, and DirectX).

Is there any way to resize the screen?

No. Not yet. It is coded to fit my TV perfectly. Every TV is different so it may or may not fit other TVs. Screen resizing/moving will be in the next release.

cool.gif Great job!!!  Definitely no hoax biggrin.gif lol.  Everything I've tried works perfect, and having the screenshot area sized perfectly to a SNES box is awesome.  I'm going to have to update my SNES art pack especially for this now.  Any chances of getting multiple screenshots displayed in the future (suggested folder names: /box fronts/ , /box backs/ , /cart scans/ , /titles/ and /snaps/)?  SNES is the only console lacking now in terms of our art packs and would definitely be a prime system to have all of it displayed.  Keep up the great work!

Do you mean displayed at the same time or one that cycles?
