i am familiar with flashing drives but more so with Sammy's. anyway i have an Hitachi 46DH that has been flashed with the latest C4 FW. had no errors on flash. but now when i do the 2 wire trick the light flashes like its in modeb but cant see it in windows. latest slax doesnt work either. but it reads discs fine in the 360 backups and originals. so does anyone know how to get the drive to show in windows? i figured maybe someone might have had this problem b4 and knows a trick. i have looked in Admin Tools also and not there. im using Vista Ultimate with a via chipset.

If you've got hacked firmware already, you can also put it in ModeB when powering up the drive with the tray open.

The las time you've flashed the drive it was on exactly the same pc? just asking to know if that setup worked before.
I haven't had any probs with hitachi's on vista ultimate with via chipset

i did try once with tray open when i turned the 360 on. tray  closed when i turned it on and still wasnt visible in windows. i'll try it again that way. and yes its the same pc havent reinstalled Vista or anything. its the same install on same pc. like i stated , when i do the 2wire trick  the center light on the 360 blinks when i touch the wires then stops when i let go...if i tap them again after that it blinks continuously.....I DONT GET IT...lol
