Sounds like your console is on the way out mate.
I had a console that did that which ended with the Red ring of death. Mine did it on originals though, but I guess it doesn't matter what DVD you insert as it was in my case a fault with the GPU. It was fixed using the 'bolt trick'.

If you're feeling competent to do that then give it a go. I'd do it now before the console progresses to full on death.

did a quick search on the forums for bolt trick and nothing turned up, maybe the search engine anit working right, know any links?

thanks for the help.

Nobody know that for sure (or at least nobody confirmed that) but AFAIK it doesn´t matter if you´re with the cable on or not. It´s unlikely that everytime you connect on live or play a game on it. It´s much more logic to have a record on your console and upload it every week or month.

Now that's just plain stupid to say the least...

It's already been said (by people who know) that it IS when connected that the tests are done and you're checked.  Seems you're just talking cause it's free and haven't read anything... Ppl like you only confuse others....

1) STOP the "when will the hitachi be out?" this thread is about samsung, also as said in the sticky do not ask, read the existing thread the info is there.

2) Again in the sticky, NO MORE WILL I GET BANNED, current view on how the last ban was done have now been presented a 1000 time, read.  as for the future, who knows how ms will play its next card.

Keep on topic, the samsung iXtreme and its features.

Ave,

Flashed my ms25 Successfully to iXtreme1.2 from xtreme5.2! No glitches! No problems!
Used soso's mtkflash method - had my original Orig.bin from before. Process took 2 minutes total.

Only 4 out of my 22 backups are not working (shady backup job I guess) - I can either redo them or not even bother for now - with the 18 backups working and everything else working great - not banned (yet) - I'm an Ecstatic Camper!

Special Thanks to sosotiit for all his wonderful help, support & guides. And big thanks to all you good folks here!

Cheers!

iXtreme with iPrep is working a charm! I've done a bunch of 360's with it. Lets hope the FW really is XboxLIVE safe.

I reckon if M$ finds a way to detect it, they'll hold out for a while, reel everybody in, and then ban them either all at once or gradually just to confuse the sh*t outa people.

Top work!!

Question I just updated one of my Xbox 360 using the iPrep with iXtreme firmware 1.2 with no problems at all. But I tried my second Xbox 360 and it hangs after running the iDump and selecting the XTREME Pri Master. I tried the 10 sec trick but that didn't work. Can somebody help me out on this one? Thanks

That has happened to me before. I just remade the drive that I was using to boot from and it worked. Try that out and see.

Hi All,

been keeping track of this thread for a while now and haven't heard anything anymore on the Hitachi Ixtreme FW. Why does this not have any priority when most drives out there are Hitachi. We have had 3 versions of the Sammy one, 1.1 didn't even come out but was skipped, and none for Hitachi. Anyone got any more info on a release?

I know for a fact that my Hitachi drive is realy depressed. It doesn't feel the love anymore which it got before by all you wonderful hackers.

Anyway, I still appriciate all the work done by C4Eva and all others. Keep it up

*ahem*

Second post in this thread?

QUOTE
The Hitachi Version of iXtreme is currently a Work In Progress. There is no ETA, so i would give it several weeks before asking how its going.

That was posted june 9th, which was 14 days ago. A 'few' weeks is 2 weeks, 'several' implies more than 2. So, even though you have specifically gone against what I asked, I will give you a update.

Hitachi is going through internal testing right now. It has not gone to any type of public testing yet. It is about 95% finished, I dont think it will be more than a week before its public, unless we run into some serious hiccups (It CAN happen, there are NO guarantee's in any of this).

So, when i post publically that "Hitachi will be several weeks" (two weeks ago), and then people come on here saying shit like "Why does this not have any priority when most drives out there are Hitachi", it becomes slightly aggrivating. Samsung WAS the priority because that is exactly what c4e has worked on since he started. Its more familiar to him, and easier to implement. It could be done quicker, and therefore IT WAS. Perhaps you think that tackling the longer project first and making 100% of the community waiting instead of 60% of the community is some type of 'priority', but we dont.

The reason there were 'three' versions of ixtreme was because bugs and/or features need to be fixed/implemented for YOUR live accounts preservation. Or would you prefer that instead of releasing a quick-fix, c4e spends a few weeks on a different hardware's fw hack, and then go back and release that 'quick fix' ? Doesnt make much sense eh?

It all comes down to this.

If you dont have anything nice to say, DONT SAY IT. The hard work of developers is coveted, yes, but NOT a requirement. Anything given is a gift. Dont EVER demand something, or why this is this way, or that is that way. Remember, things are going to come at the speed they are going to come at. Bitching about it is only going to piss people off, and possibly delay/prevent the releasing of YOUR gift.

Yes, i have seen projects in the past that have stopped entirely due to public criticism. Get over it.

Any further questioning of Hitachi ETA, or regarding how or what to spoof to, will be deleted.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I purchased a Dynex SATA PCI card from BestBuy for about $23 Canadian, and when my system booted up it was identified as the VIA 6421 and it worked with the 10 sec trick.

However, and there's always one, I used the connectivity kit and I believe I may have flashed my Samsung drive with the button in ModeB. Whatever the case, IDump reported that my orginal FW had been backed up successfully, and then when I wrote the modded fw it wrote all 4 banks, said it had been successful, I did my happy dance and then proceeded to put my 360 back together again.

Turned on the system and tried one of my backed up games and was told that I needed to play the disk in a 360 console. I'm sure I Had a befuddled look on my face as I read it over 2 or 3 times. Then I thought , It must just be this backup!, and so I placed the original in the system. Guess what I was treated to? The same thing....so I guess something went awry eventhough everything reported as OK.

Anyone else experienced this? I am going to take the FW original that was made of the backup and flash it back and see if I can get the system back to where it was before I try flashing 1.2 again.

Any thoughts would be appreciated or experiences of people that may have done the same thing.

Cheers

A couple is 2. A few is 3. Several would be at least 4.
