Yes, you should. All of my backups pre-1.2 work (in fact they were made when 5.2 was out) work on 1.2. I used Xbox Backup Creator 2.5 and a Kreon drive on original discs. The have all the correct stealth information by default (with a complete backup chosen in XBC). So if thats how you did them they should be fine and still undetectable. Hopefully a new checker will come out soon.

because if he had made the backup himself then he would not have the wrong PFI, DMI , VIDEO files etc and it would boot but because it doesn't it has obviously not all from the same original disc.

Hey Iriez just a quick question.. Never used ixtreme 1.0 but read through all the 1.2 pages...I know ofcourse that the 0800 Discs burned on single layer dvd's won't on the new iXtreme firmwares and I don't recall (correct me if im wrong) that the dual layer 0800 discs could ever be or were even injected with stealth (pfi, dmi) in any of the previous releases. So my question is would the 0800 disc that I have (Burned back from when it was bundled with the Xtreme 2.0) work to enable 0800 mode or since it doesn't have stealth would it not work? Thanks in advance... Great work guys by the way (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I'm glad I don't even have a live account.. Never got online and never will. Regardless of the fact, whenever I decide to, I'll just flash back to the original firmware to protect my box even further.. I don't plan on ever playing backups online anyway so I might as well take 10 minutes out the way to open my box and flash back to original if I ever want to play online.. I'd rather take that extra step then risk getting banned.. I actually enjoying opening up my box (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

So I am pretty sure the new fw does not even have 0800 mode on the drive.

The new samtool copies version strings aswell as key information. There is no need for a extra step.

Yes, it should still work, so long as its on dual layer. There is no 'stealth' or 'non stealth' for 0800 discs.

Yes and no. The code used for ripping games was removed, which was accessed via the 0800 disc. There still needs to be a way to remove firmguard, so 0800 is still that method.

I'm pretty confused now,
So 0800 disc does work on iXtreme10 if its on a dual layer dvd?
I use 0800 disc to flash my ms28 otherwise it doesnt detect the drive.
Can someone please tell me for sure?

First of all: GREAT WORK C4E!

Flashed from 4.3 to ixtreme 1.2. No banned yet, almost never played backups while conected to / on live (once by mistake).  

Most of my games work perfect, but two seem to hang while booting without error screen: after the drive spins for a while a black screen appears. xbox doesn't freeze, but the game doesn’t boots either.

Also I noticed that booting takes more time than with the previous installed firmware. Is this because the drive is performing checks on the disk?

Most likely the games that are not working werent fully stealth patched.
Regarding the booting speed, as far as I know the Xtreme43 or 53 made the drive speen alittle faster and improoved the seek times C4E said that it may be one of the factors MS is using to know if your drive was hacked therefor he removed that feature.

Actually i have alreay flash and choose 'no' at the question, so keep in ms28 but i dont know if it is the best choice.

a MS25 drive with firmguard will be a little bit suspicious. However; I really don't think MS will be checking for this.
