iXtreme firmware 1.2 for TS-H943 Xbox 360

I'm having a problem here.

MS25 drive, virgin FW until a few days ago when I upgraded to iXtreme 1.0 built with XBM 5.3 to a USB drive and using my motherboard's SATA port and without plugging in the 360's video cable.  Everything went very smoothly.  This was Wednesday.

This morning I see 1.2 is out and grab iPrep 101 and the 1.2 firmware and prepare to flash it.  I go through all of the standard checks, use the same SATA port I selected in XBM, and make the USB disk.  I power on the PC, boot to DOS, then power on the 360 with no video cable and run iDump with my serial number.

I pick the XTREME Primary Master just like I did before, and then everything hangs.  I can ctrl-C to get out of the batch file, but when I do that I'm unable to select the Primary Master drive again until I reboot.  There's nothing in the drive and there are no other IDE or SATA devices hooked up to my PC.  My PC normally runs the HDD on SATA so I know the motherboard port isn't fried.

I tried making the iXtreme 1.2 firmware in Windows with its batch file, and that went fine (keys matched up and everything) and then do an iFlash to write that, and again it hangs after I select Primary Master.  In both cases (iDump and iFlash) there is one line that is printed out after I select the Primary Master, giving some hex values - but it's the same as what I remember from before.

If anybody can give me a tip as to where to go from here I'd appreciate it.

I am on iXtreme v1.0 and currently trying to go to iXtreme v1.2
but when I tried to flash it, it will not do anything.

here are my steps:

-Turn the computer on
-got to command prompt screen, I turned the xbox360 on with enable0800 disc inside and let it run for about 10-20 seconds.
-Eject the enable0800 disc then type mtkflash w /m ix12.bin.
-Selected Primary SATA option (which is 3 on my MB).

after all those steps it goes to the part where is starts to flash, and display this message:

Flash Type: "SST(SSTxxxxxx)"
Erasing ....chip erase....
After a long period of time I turned the xbox360 off and now I got an E65 error.

anyone know what happen and how to fix this?

I figured it out, I fixed it... its working now.

MS25 drive, flashed key to an MS28 FW, then use this program to create IE1.2 FW.

Flashed Manually with MTKFLASH and 360 is running sweetly, Thanks for release.

Would recommend MS25 owners to copy there key to a MS28 FW,before creating IE1.2 FW, saves stoofing back to MS25, and upgrading FW version isn't a problem as far as I know.

Respect to the Xbox-Scene Guys

It seems all back-up 360 Games that are labeled "XGD2DVD_NTSC" (Crackdown, Star Trek Legacy, NBA Street V3, Fusion Frenzy, etc...) on the original but burned with the disc labeled as "XBOX360" (like most games) no longer work with iXtreme 1.2

Does anyone know the program that properly formats or reformats the ISO image so that it labels it properly???

I have a feeling that formating it properly will allow those Backup Discs boot on the iXtreme 1.2 firmware...

I remember a program was made to do this but I can't remember what it was.

That was exactly it.  I forgot that using iXtreme 1.0 eant it was an MS28 drive and needed the Bad Flash/10 second trick.  Thanks to bmwfreaknl and C4E!

Hmm....After reading the release notes for Schtrom360Xtract v3.2 I saw this...

*fixed Star Trek Legacy and Fusion Frenzy 2 issue, the sizes of video and game partition are now calculated from the pfi and the alternative pfi in the ss, this should give a working image on future games with a different video or game partition size

I remember backing up these types of discs before Schtrom360Xtract v3.2 came out....so maybe this is the bug iXtreme 1.2 addresses that iXtreme 1.0 (or even 1.1) did not do.

so what this new version does is deny the booting of some backups with an error in ss/pfi/dmi.  this error is not being detected now but may be in the future.  so if this new check is implemented and i make my backups correctly i should be ok with 1.0.  i am checking because i have to send my xbox off the get the firmware updated.

You seem to know enough to update your own firmware. If you got your drive key off whoever flashed your drive last time then its practically risk free biggrin.gif  You will need a via 6421 sata card but its gotta be cheaper than sendin your drive off every other week sad.gif

You have a pirated version of crackdown. That version has wrong PFI, wrong DMI and wrong video. It will not pass stealth. Do not discuss such items here.

How do you know what he has?
