Now I have a theorical question:
Let's say I injected the PFI/DMI data into an iso image, using the correct files from the game with the same region code. But I used a generic video.iso file to inject the video partition. Does it mean the new iXtreme firmware won't boot this game?

It will not boot. Both video and PFI need to be the correct corresponding size for that game.
Yes, the algo that was used in key patching with samtool v0.5 would reject too many repetitive figures (FFFFFFFF ...etc) so if your key was a rare key that has repetitive alpha, that old samtool would think you made a mistake
A big thanks to caster420 for his excellent work on samtool, and for resolving those issues for you hitachi users that wish to replace it with a samsung drive (i know i did for one of my boxes!)
