Now I have a theorical question:
Let's say I injected the PFI/DMI data into an iso image, using the correct files from the game with the same region code. But I used a generic video.iso file to inject the video partition. Does it mean the new iXtreme firmware won't boot this game?

I was having a hell of a time spoofing a sammy as a Hitachi 47 with iXtreme 1.0 - Picked up 1.2 and had no problems.

Word of advice (learned through hours of patiently trying to get this all to work) - ALWAYS flash back to your original firmware before changing.  Sometimes it works if you don't - but sometimes it does not work and can cause hours of aggrivation.  

But all is said and done - nice release - thanks again.

It will not boot. Both video and PFI need to be the correct corresponding size for that game.

But feel free to test

Yes, the algo that was used in key patching with samtool v0.5 would reject too many repetitive figures (FFFFFFFF ...etc) so if your key was a rare key that has repetitive alpha, that old samtool would think you made a mistake

A big thanks to caster420 for his excellent work on samtool, and for resolving those issues for you hitachi users that wish to replace it with a samsung drive (i know i did for one of my boxes!)

does this mean that all my discs that checked fine with the latest version of dvd mulleter might still not work?  Or those ones in mulleter that say they've passed stealth but with an error about sizemismatch etc beforehand

and I presume that by generic video file it means for example the video360.iso file that was generally supplied with xtreme 4.2 etc?

We need a simple app who's sole function is to tell you if this backup ISO will boot or not. I'm really done wasting DL DVDs and hours trying to re-backup all my backups.

nothing changed so why should you have to redo you backups

also if you use kreon/xboxbackupmaker from your original everything is 100%

i do not see the problem, its not that hard

so is this meaning that its still safe to assume then that if the game reports back as fine with no warning messages in xdvd mullleter then it should be perfectly good to go on this new 1.2 (I'm on hitachi now so cant go checking) - or could it be that mulleter just cannot ID the new checks yet?  which will be a pain in butt as have to go back testing all of my games now

sweet cant wait to flash when i get home. 1.0 was great, all my backups booted no prob, then again i used XBC and Kreon.

Just flashed to 1.2 and another two backups wouldn't boot up. Funny thing is they both passed xdvdmulleter when I ran them, and they both ran when I had ixtreme 1.0 flashed on my 360.

I'm wondering how they are changing the game content. I don't want to take this off topic and can only guess they are doing it for cheating purposes (which is lame), but I didn't think was possible to change the game content on a disk. Is it maybe because they are not using the correct SS/DMI/PFI, which leads me to my question. Is it being looked at to make the ixtreme firmware so that it will only allow stealth backups and if it doesn't have the correct SS/DMI/PFI, it will not boot?

my crackdown backup its not working as well dont know why .. it pass's all stealth checks .. to play this game put in a xbox 360 console error ... strange..  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)
