Same here. But I have another question if someone can answer. I bought a Xbox elite last week with of course the 79 drive. I plan on buying the blaster360 along with this device, after I flash it with this device and install blaster360 will I be able to flash future firmwares with the blaster?

I would expect so, as this device sticks v79 in mode b. Then you can use your blaster for connectivity and to reflash..

Would be nice if it didn't need a solder or epoxy removal though.

Xecuter must have had a heart attack when they saw that video yesterday.

what is the recommended modified firmware for the v79FL drives, assuming we buy this "79 passkey" and install it properly and dump firmware via Toolbox v4.0?

is this the latest xtreme for the Hitachi 79FL drives?

will it work in 79FL?

So this requires Epoxy removal and soldering. Thats enough to scare the shit out of me.

I'll be passing on this device.

Tho im glad to see TX still bringing more of their unique creativity to the mod scene.

I hope theres another way to flash these 79 drives in the very near future, my Elite will collect dust until then.    (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
