all give me same master/slave error
WHAT AM I DOING WRONG !!!!!???

Don't know if this will help but I used a dual layer disk for making an 0800 disk

As far as I know, the enable0800 does "NOT" work on Single Layer DVD's, which means even though you burnt it, putting it in, and spinning it for 20 seconds - you're not disabling the firmgaurd and therefore getting the exact same error.

I can almost certainly assure you that enable0800 requires a Dual Layer DVD and Will Not Work using a Single Layer DVD. You need to burn it on a dual layer and then try the procedure all over again.

You're incorrect.
The 0800 disc works on a single layer dvd BUT you have to have 5.x firmware for disabling the firmguard. When u upgrade to iXtreme, the single layer will be unusefull since that firmware doesn;t support single layer dvd's anymore!
So it is BETTER to burn it on a dual-layer dvd+r for future use, but if u have 5.x firmware it will work with a single layer dvd

Ok, i have the extreme 5.x firmware on my drive, so i supose the single layer 0800 disc should work. While burning the 0800 disk, you need to do some special settings?? I just downloaded clonecd en burnt the image without adjusting any settings.

I'm getting frustrated about it. The last time i flashed to 5.x it worked like a charm, and got it within 5 minutes.

If you read some more, you would find your answers, but to make it easy for you:

I suggest using a DUAL LAYER (future use) but if u want to use a single layer, that's your choise, you can throw it in the bin after flashing iXtreme.
There are NO special settings needed. To be sure I would set the layerbreak in IMGburn when flashing it to a dl-dvd

you should boot the pc and dvd-drive,start MTKflash, then put in the disc, wait for about 10sec when you don't hear the laser shifting anymore, eject the dvd, and THEN try to flash, then the firmguard should be disabled.

this is what i've READ so far, i've got a via chipset, so i do the 10s trick and do not have to use this crappy method

can i backup my original firmware and before that microsoft release new update for xbox i undo my firmware to original and wait for result of new update
is that a good idea or not ?

can microsoft detect hacked console before apply new dashboard update

I've flashed a lot of drives, including TS ms25 or ms28.

with the Xtreme I know that I need to flash with a spoofed firmware for the ms25 drives because Xtreme is ms28, otherwise I'll get the E66 error.

with the iXtreme I've never needed to do that. was it ms25 or ms28 it was flash 'n go.

today that didn't happened... I got an ms25 on my hands and after flashing it with the iXtreme I got the E66 error!
then I had to spoof it with the FWToolbox to ms25 to make it work.

can someone explain this to me? I can't understand why it had a different behavior with identical (ms25) drives...

Could someone please give the settings or program, etc for burning a enable 0800 disk from the 0800.iso from the xtreme 4.2 release, on a dual layer disk for use with unlocking firmware on ixtreme. Or do I need a different enable0800.iso?
