Just tried mine. MS28 flashed in Feb. with 5.2b I believe. Had 3 non-stealthed games. Hadn't played console since April probably. Only went online with GOW retail and COD3 backup but system was always connected. Just flashed and went online = insta-ban, no good bye hugs. Fun times.

As explained, regardless of whether you utilize the matchmaking services of the game/live, if you are connected to live while playing a non-stealth disc, the dmi/pfi inquiries are still present, and sent forth to live.

Yup. Hopefully core systems will drop in price by November.

I've never used my 360 (backups or originals) for months, I only turned it on once after Dashboard revision 2.0.4552 was released in January to update my 360 and messed around with it for a while.

Alright, i tried to connect to xbox live today to check if i'm banned or not before updating to iXtreme, It asked me to update (spring update). I didn't accept the update and ran a network test it asked me to update again but i refused again and my Z code status was 8015 - 1007

Does this mean that i'm banned/will be banned? If it asked me to update that means i'm safe right?

should've accepted it, 8015 = banned afaik. if not just accept the update, people that didnt update got banned aswell so.

I posted this question on the XDVDMulleter thread but didn't get much response. I'll try it here in the hopes that more people are reading this and have maybe experienced this too.

I really don't want to be one of those posters that everybody screams at to "SEARCH!" but here goes...I put the iXtreme 1.0 firmware on my Samsung MS28 and reluctantly logged onto Live expecting to be banned. So far, nada...still good. Here's my question though. I went through the backups I made (all ripped from my Kreon drive with Xbox Backup Creator and burned with CloneCD) with XDVDMulleter Beta 8 in an attempt to make sure that they are all stealthed properly. They all are except my backup of MLB 2K7. Under the "Xtreme Compatibility" section, "PFI present" and "DMI Present" are UNchecked ("Security sector present" IS checked). And in the "ISO Type" section "Xtreme Compatible" is UNchecked. So, the obvious question here is why does this backup of MLB 2K7 play perfectly in my box (it does) when the iXtreme 1.0 firmware is supposed to reject any backup that is not properly stealthed?

Hi all. Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question...

I have never played my backups while being connected to Live (I disconnect the network cable). Nor do I have any intention of ever playing my backups online (I only use my originals when I want to play online).

So do I even need to bother with the new firmwares? I havent logged into Live since the bans started, so I'm wondering am I safe, or do I still need the new stealth firmware to play backups offline? (or is it too late for me already?)

I'm behind on the new stuff so please help me out (I don't want to waste hours reading this entire forum and the tutorials seem outdated) Thanks.

My 360 with a flashed Hitachi broke (3 red lights, broke it for sure when attempting x-clamp fix) and I just got a core 360 with a TS-ms28. Haven't done any of this in over a year so I'm a bit rusty.
What do I do once I hook up the drive to my PC? (I have iXtreme1 and KDX1.5 but what do I do with it?)

Those seemingly outdated tutorials that you mention will be just fine as nothing has changed with regards to flashing your drive.
