Just took my girlfriend's 360 from 5.3 to the new iXtreme. Was online briefley with original, and a copy of that original. So far, so good. Just need to wait till the H-LG firmware is out to do mine.

The work you guys put in is remarkable. Hope this is the last one we need (probably not

) But we'll give it a shot. Can't thank you enough.

What do you mean "he was doubting he could do it"? Everytime there was a convo with him since he started iXtreme, he's said Hitachi fw is coming along great. He said it will have the same features as the TS fw, including media stealth.

I see there have been some quesitons about this error message:

This happened to me, as I have a ms25 drive, and figure only those of us with ms25's are getting it.

I am assuming that if you press "N", that the resulting firmware will be default to ms28.
And if you press "Y", the resulting firmware is "spoofed" as ms25.

Perhaps someone can confirm this to put others at ease.

i'm getting this to, so i hit yes open the firmware up in firmware toolbox and it says it's ms25 ...

But i still do not want to flash, not sure if we are suppose to spoof it as ms28 or not

So the question that needs to be answered then...

Should those of us with MS25 drives spoof iXtreme to MS25, or let it default to MS28.

Its funny to me in a way...Whats safer

Having a ms25 drive with ms28 firmware...

or

Having a ms25 drive with ms28 firmware that pretends to be ms25.

I went ahead and updated my 360.

I did have 5.3c installed pior to the spring update and was not banned.
Been playing backups offline with no harddrive attach.

I sign into live so far, have not tried playing a backup yet.

As for the questions go about:
Should those of us with MS25 drives spoof iXtreme to MS25, or let it default to MS28.

I hit yes and open firmware up in firmware toolbox it said it was ms25.

So it's up to you what you want to do.
