Connectivity Kit Questions
« on: May 22, 2007, 03:47:00 AM »

I would like to be able to use the xecuter connectivity kit on both samsung and hitachi and never use the mode B function.  Is it possible to make it safe for both?   what color should the Mode B light be for it to be safe for a Samsung?   Will it Brick a Samsung drive if I use it? If it will is their anything I can do to it to make it safe?

I use it for my Samsung all the time and no problems.  Just make sure the light is green.  Or that both switches are in the up position.

Cool I was worried about it.   Does the Eject button work?  I am also using version 1.2 on the Kit is yours version 1.2 or 2?  I have been looking around on their site and cant find direct answers.  I tried posting but I guess my account is disabled until their admin looks over my activating my account.  Thank you for your replies.

First off, if you are having problems with enable 0800, I'd double check your disc.  Make sure it is a DL disk, unless you have a 5.2v FW.

Secondly, as for the 10sec method, simply unplug the molex cable or 10-wire cable from the CK v1.2, and plug it back in wink.gif

1- What do these switches do:

2- My "Mode" button is missing completely on my ODD molex power device, does this mean it's stuck in the on or off position and can I still flash a samsung drive using it?
