The switch on the right.

Out of the 2 white buttons I am missing the bottom "Mode" button and am wondering whether this will affect my samsung drive?

You guys do know that there are several tutorials on how to use the Connectivity kit.  A little research goes along way to help not ask the same questions that have already been asked on this forum.  You can also go to the Team xecuters web site to find out.

Yep, I'm not a retard smile.gif

On their site there are quite a few questions about the switch on the side and no answers. I cannot make a post on that site asking if the lack of a mode button will be an issue because I am waiting to be verified and no one has asked the question before.

All of their tutorials are for the V1.2 not V2 package.

Thanks for your help though  sleep.gif

Hi all.

I want to re-flash my MS25 using the connectivity kit V2 as a power source. I can't find any tutorials on this version. I don't want to plug it in and power up until I know what the buttons are for and what the lights mean.
I tried Team Xecuters web site for more info but their site's down.

Help on this version would be appreciated.

Thanks
Woody.

There's a small description on the buttons. there's an on and off switch, one eject button and a Mode B button
For jour samsung, the 2 white buttons will have to be in the "up position" while flashing.

There are some tuts on the site of team-executer. It's not that hard, just connect it and flash smile.gif

Just looking for a bit of advice here please, I searched the forums and nothing seemed to be there.

Ive got the USB kit all rigged and (with power which has been tested on a DVD drive) the drive recognised in windows, ive also got the Mode button Down and the Eject button up but when I switch it on the light doesnt come on on the connectivity switch, is this a common problem or am I missing something?

Thanks

Flip the small switch to turn on the LEDs. You probably hit it by accident. wink.gif

I have a XENO connectivity kit that works fine for hitachi drive flashing but have never tried to use it for a Samsung drive, will it work?   Do i need to press the mode B button, if so at what time?  Sorry if this is dumb question but all previous posts refer to Xecuter kit, i know that they are very similar but just want to make sure before I try anything.  I have flashed Sammys before with my pci card, but used the 360 to power drive, but now with this theory going around that ms can detect if you boot without dvd connected I am sort of confused as to what I should do, any help would be much appreciated

I don't know the xeno kit, but if it's pretty much the same, then try it. Don;t use the ModeB button. Just connect a samsung with it, try to read the Firmware. after that load it in toolbox or something to verify you've successfully read the firmware

Hi

I managed to brick my drive on the weekend when my PC hung during the flash process. As I flashed my drive previously I just used the power off/on method to get the drive into modeB, I did not use the wire method (in case that's important to know for the answer).

The drive will no longer eject when connected back to the 360 and I get error 64, my PC no longer picks it up in BIOS also. I assume it is bricked.

Can the Xecuter Connectivity Kit get the drive into modeb for me so I can re-flash it, or is the TSOP chip re-programme the only method I have to save the drive?

Thanks
