Strange Problem With Flashed Hitachi

I have a Hitachi 46D flashed with C4EVA_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_4_Stealth.  I have burned a couple of backup disks and when i first power on the xbox they will work for about 15-20 minutes. After that I get a disk read error and they will no longer work.  Originals still work fine.  If i power off the xbox and let it sit for awhile then i can play the disks again for 15-20 minutes.  I thought it might be an overheating issue so I left it apart with a big fan on it but came up with the same results.

Has anyone else ran into this? Any suggestions? Could it be the media i am using?  I have tried 2 different brands of media.
