Can you guys post your firmwares/banned status at http://www.locallans.com/index.php, it's so much easier to search and find information you want.
Did everyone forget about that site, the new ixtreme 1.0 is there too.

Agreed. Everyone do this please, it would be very beneficial to all 360 xtreme owners.

There is certainly a clear pattern emerging, seems most of you with stealth backups only, and the ms stealthed drives are mostly ok.

Now i was banned also, i have about 8 games, check all my backups, and one was faulty, PGR3, this is the reson i beleive i was banned, then i am running an hitachi 78fk, no stealth.

So on the MS drives, does the stealth handle the response time on the disc, cus if not, i guess your all going to be banned in the end, isnt this how we were all spotted?

I have a new machine now, and there is no way in hell its going anywhere near live until this mess is all cleared up. Im that paranoid, i dont want to even flash it incase somthing gets logged.

Banned? Yes.
- Spring update? Yes.
- Drive brand and model: Samsung MS-28
- Current firmware + spoofed as: iXtreme 1.0 (ms28)
- Previous firmwares + spoofed as: 4.2, 5.2 ,5.3a (ms28)
- Games with achievements listed on your xbox.com: Yep.
- Update to the new jitter fix FW before or after Spring update? Before.
- Country: UK
- Used Xbox Power Supply (video cable unplugged for ixtreme)

must have had a few old non stealthed games that got me banned, hardly ever play on live but must have been flagged when i did. Never played on live since spring update, until trying to connect after ixtreme and was already banned

How did you power the drive when you flashed it?

Did you

- turn on the 360

or did you

- Hook external power to the drive

I unplugged the video cable which gave me 5 mins to flash my drive. Easy to do in that amount of time. Im not sure if M$ use that as a detection test anyway.

My current status is:

- Banned? STILL NOT!!
- Spring update? Yes
- Drive brand and model: Samsung MS28
- Current firmware: ixtreme 1.0
- Previous firmwares: 5.3b
- Games with achievements listed on your xbox.com: ?
- Update to the new jitter fix FW before or after Spring update? before
- Last date backup was played: 3/06/07 (Yesterday)
- Country: UK

Still not banned... Maybe im just lucky and have avoided the ban hammer.. but i have checked my disks and all are properly stealthed. I had 1 that wasnt and its now in the bin.

So this may be out of context and I apologize if it is - here is the info on my banned box (as I have two) - 1 modded - one not.  Of course the not modded box is not banned.

- Banned? Yes
- Spring update? Yes
- Drive brand and model: Samsung MS25
- Current firmware: ixtreme 1.0
- Previous firmwares: NME 1.2
- Games with achievements listed on your xbox.com: ? Yes
- Update to the new jitter fix FW before or after Spring update? N/A NME 1.2
- Last date backup was played: 4 days after spring update
- Country: USA

A couple of thoughts:
1) I was using the NME 1.2 - without the network disconnect option.  I had played non stealth patched backups.  I updated anytime Xbox Live said there was an update.  Obviously - the NME 1.2's firmware is not exempt.  This leads to two points of interest there:
          a) All of these folks are talking about using a brand new xbox with the iXtreme firmware. Cool - however, how do we know if MS is taking the initial snapshot prior to shipping the xbox's to their retailers?  So new box or not - they could shut that down as well.  I know, sorry - another "what if"
cool.gif NME backups are patched with the NME associator.  Quit possible - even if a backup is stealth patched - the the NME Associator - which relocates the Security Sectors - has been detected.

My best assumptions - stay away from the NME 1.2 etc unless you are using the network disconnect option.
Sounds like the ban checks (from most of the data I've looked at) are as follows:
Technicals - drive speed - seek time - lock on etc.
Log files of your xbox 360 (Logging all changes to hardware)
Non Stealth Backups.

Looks like we're all making some headway here.  Good. Good.

  • Banned? No ... as of June 05, 2007
  • Spring update? Yes ... as of Monday, June 04, 2007
  • Drive brand and model Toshiba-Samsung TS-H943 ms28
  • Current firmware + spoofed as iXtreme 1.0 NOT SPOOFED as of Sunday, June 03, 2007
  • Previous firmwares + spoofed as Xtreme 5.0B then 5.2C NEVER SPOOFED
  • Games with achievements listed on your xbox.com I guess, I don't think it makes a difference
  • Update to the new jitter fix FW before or after Spring update? Never updated to jitter fix
  • Country United States of America

Extras:
  • First two flashes were done with 360 power and video, last with only 360 power NO video.
  • All backups were Xtreme stealthed except one.
  • I played backups with Dashboard version 2.0.4532.0 (October 31, 2006 release).  I don't think they were logging anything back then because of the one unstealthed backup I played and because of having the video connected when I flashed.
  • Last time I was on live before my 360 update was on November 11, 2006
  • Never played backups on Live, only originals

Banned: no
Spring update: Yes
Drive brand and model: TS-h943 MS-25
Current firmware: 5.2A
  spoofed a: MS28
Previous firmwares: 5.1, 4.2, 3.0 and 2.0, spoofed as MS28 since 4.0
Games with achievements listed on your xbox.com: Yes
Update to the new jitter fix FW before or after Spring update: No
Country: Mexico

I have to say, the only non-stealth copy I have is Burnout Revenge, but haven't played some weeks before the spring update till now.

No backups in live.

Have played plenty of GoW last week, like to be detected and banned if Firmware can be checked, never modified my HDD info, and never tried etc. so it only leaves me with my hardmods on the AVIP, if they caould be detected, I'll be banned long ago  tongue.gif

Banned: Nope, but maybe in the future????

Model DVD Drive: Samsung MS25

Current firmware: 5.3B Xtreme

Previous firmware: 4.3B Xtreme

Update to Jitter fix before or after spring dashupdate: Before

Xbox live achievements and friends list on xbox.com: Works fine

Country: CaNaDa Eh

All my backups were made myself with my sammy drive and they are all real stealth images.
As for as I'm concerned. These new firmwares are not really necessary unless you are uncertain
your games were not stealth. Some people update and get banned right away. Other people have
also updated and are fine so it's really a chance to take yourself. If your not banned yet using an
older firmware, I would leave your firmware alone.

Props to C4E

seeing as not getting banned from live is specifically what it's made for, I highly doubt it.

Ave,

- Banned? No
- Spring update? No
- Drive brand and model? Samsung MS25
- Current firmware? xtreme5.2
- Previous firmwares? None, brand new console
- Games with achievements listed on your xbox.com? Yes
- Update to the new jitter fix FW before or after Spring update? Never
- Last Date a backup was played? Yesterday, Tenchu Z & Battlefield II Modern Combat
- Used Xbox Power Supply
- Country? USA

I saw someone with iXtreme1.0 banned on that Live Ban Tracker website - concerned about that.
Anyhow - is there a consenus on what caused the bans?

I'm not banned yet and am planning on flashing to iXtreme1.2 - just wondering if there's any news of any Bans for iXtreme1.2 - if there is then it would be an exercise in futility.

Anyhow - still Kudos to C4E and all!
