Banned/not Banned Console Reporting,inc. iXtreme1.x
« Reply #165 on: June 01, 2007, 04:21:00 PM »

Did the Xbox Live test last night, not banned. Haven't been on since before the update. Never played a game online (via LIVE). I have been signed in to a LIVE account while playing SinglePlayer on a backup though.

Banned? no
- Spring update? no
- Drive brand and model: Samsung MS25
- Current firmware: 2.3 I believe, been awhile
- Previous firmwares: Original
- Games with achievements listed on your xbox.com: yes
- Update to the new jitter fix FW before or after Spring update?: Nope, haven't updated to Spring Update.
- Last Date a backup was played: Before the patch was even released.
- Country: US

Some quick notes - My FW was flashed using the power from the 360 box. It WAS logged on LIVE before changing firmware. And all my backups are direct copies from a Samsung Internal DVD IDE drive reflashed with KREON firmware. No backups have ever played on LIVE outside of being logged in while I've played singleplayer. I've used originals for LIVE play, if I play it.

I'm going to flash to the iXtreme tonight probably, since I'm not banned yet (I don't see a point in doing it if I was already banned).

Banned? no
- Spring update? no
- Drive brand and model: Samsung MS-25
- Current firmware: iXtreme 1.0 (Flashed on 6/1)
- Previous firmwares: Original
- Games with achievements listed on your xbox.com: yes
- Update to the new jitter fix FW before or after Spring update?: After
- Last Date a backup was played: 6/1
- Country: US

My only question is this.  Is there any correlation with people being banned versus whether they're Silver or Gold?  Just wondering if it's banning those that are using backups and connected, or using backups to play head-to-head on live.

I dont know if this has been covered, but if you have disconnected from the network, and havent been banned yet, any idea if this will help when you update to the new firmware?

Go to the system blade and then select memory.

Press Y on the HD symbol and then press X,X,Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X,X. Once you do this a messsage will appear saying: Do you want to perform maintenance on your Xbox 360 storage devices?

Performing this function will also clear any software updates.

Again sorry if it has been covered, but i figured it might help if noones tried it yet and has played a non stealth game. I dont know if it clears logs or anything.

Banned? NO
- Spring update? Yes
- Drive brand and model: Samsung MS25 spoofed as MS28 (was MS28 on prev firmwares since
   never got E66 error
- Current firmware + iXtreme 1.0
- Previous firmwares 5.3d and not banned
- Games with achievements listed on your xbox.com: no
- Update to the new jitter fix FW before or after Spring update? before
- Last Date a backup was played: ? a while back - GOW
Note : all my backups are properly stealthed, updated with power from XBox360 using SATA, but never
went long enough for XBox360 to power off (<= 5min)
The pattern seems to be, if you played a backup that was not properly stealthed before, you get banned.

Banned? No
- Spring update? Yes
- Drive brand and model: Samsung MS28
- Current firmware: iXtreme 1.0
- Previous firmwares 2.2 on Hitachi 47DJ
- Games with achievements listed on your xbox.com: no
- Update to the new jitter fix FW before or after Spring update? after
- Last Date a backup was played: Just before the bannings
Country: UK

I bricked my Hitachi drive trying to update to the Jitter fix firmware just before the bannings. This was kinda lucky cos I think I would have gone online straight away and get banned. Bought a Samsung MS28, put iXtreme 1.0 on it, whacked that in and used a stealth backup of Crackdown to get Halo 3 beta which I'm very happy about! Great work everyone involved!

- Banned? No
- Spring update? Yes
- Drive brand and model: Samsung MS25
- Current firmware + spoofed as: iXtreme 1.0 MS25
- Previous firmwares + spoofed as: Xtreme 3.0 MS25, Xtreme 4.1 MS25, Xtreme 5.3C MS25
- Games with achievements listed on your xbox.com: Yes
- Update to the new jitter fix FW before or after Spring update? Before
- Country: SE

Backups never used for online gaming, always been signed in to Live when playing backups.
Not played Crackdown or Halo 3. All backups now refusing to boot with iXtreme 1.0 had video partition and security sectors present. No PFI or DMI though which, as I understand it, was handled by the firmware itself if it was missing?

So it seems...

If you've played backups with a previous firmware and have not yet been banned yet, then upgrade to the new firmware for samsung, you will still be banned.

Your 360 logs your activities.....

Resistance is futile.

Don't attempt this unless you have a brand new console, unmodded in any way.

Everyone that puts this new firmware on a new unmodded console is not banned.

Can you guys post your firmwares/banned status at http://www.locallans.com/index.php, it's so much easier to search and find information you want.
Did everyone forget about that site, the new ixtreme 1.0 is there too.

- Banned? No.
- Spring update? Yes.
- Drive brand and model: Samsung MS-28
- Current firmware + spoofed as: iXtreme 1.0 (ms28)
- Previous firmwares + spoofed as: 5.3a (ms28)
- Games with achievements listed on your xbox.com: Yep.
- Update to the new jitter fix FW before or after Spring update? Before.
- Country: USA
- Used Xbox Power Supply (video cable unplugged for ixtreme)

I'm surprised I'm not banned yet.. I've played non-stealth games as far as I know.. (crackdown, w/ halo 3 beta), I had played halo 3 for hours just before they started the mass bannings. When i heard the news, I stopped playing online until iXtreme was released (but still played offline, and checked my live status daily during that period).

I played GOW multiplayer for hours last night, no problems yet. I was signed off once while playing a demo, but then it had no difficulty signing back in (I thought for sure I was a goner)

Here's hoping that the good luck continues..  unsure.gif
