Put the iXtreme back on your drive, then try playing any backups you've played since the Fall update, if you find some that do not boot, then that's why you were banned - improperly/not patched backups.

I know you're ok with it, but I think it would help ease other people's minds, and the scene, a little bit, if you had some games you played before that do not boot on iXtreme 1.0, if it's a hassle, I'm sure everyone understands, but it would be a small, yet important contribution, at least in my view.

i tried a couple of back ups when it was on iextreme sorry.

cod3 and gears of war. both were taken off my originals using xbc. cod3 loaded then reset just before the main menu but gow loaded up to where you select campaign etc.

if loads of people ask i can try and flash it back but would rather not incase it does mess up at some point at the min it works ok kinda thing.

Update...I had to test to see if I would get banned for flashing back to the original.

- Banned? NO
- Spring update? YES
- Drive brand and model - Hitachi 47DJ
- Current firmware - Original
- Previous firmwares - Extreme 2.3
- Games with achievements listed on your xbox.com - Yes
- Update to the new jitter fix FW before or after Spring update? No
- Last date a backup was played - FEB '07
- Country - USA

This is what I did to test. Flashed back 5/24/07.

My Setup:
Xbox 360 with NOV 2005 build date.
47DJ with Extreme 2.3 8in1.
Flashed with FLASH16S.BAT no F900 Core.
360 was last flashed OCT 25 '06.
Used the RESTORE.BAT file to flash back to original.

1. I turned on my xbox and logged in to verify it was still not banned.

2. I turned my xbox off, disconnected, then flashed back to original using RESTORE.BAT.

3. I turned my xbox back on without being connected to verify my drive still worked ok.

4. I signed back into live to see if I would get banned.

So far I have not been banned.

I will keep you posted.

Peace,

Just giving a final report here:

I'm still not banned after flashing back to the original. I have always used the 360 to power my drive. I see that this is a big question that is being asked. I have flashed my 360 between hacked FW and original about 4 times since I had it (I bought it new in '06). I have powered the 360 up over 10 times without the SATA cable attached over time.

- Stealth Backups? Some of the backups I used before the Spring update were non-stealth, though I only ever had 5.2c firmware or later.  After the Spring update, I used 5.3c with stealth backups exclusively.  After the bans began, I stayed away from my backups altogether until the iXtreme release.

As far as stealth backups are concerned. I did play Pirates of the Carribean which was not stealthed with the Original Toolbox v3 firmware after the Spring Update. I later upgraded to Toolbox v3b and stopped playing backups. 4 days or so later I got banned from Xbox Live on my previous console.

I think one special question isn't covered here:

- have played non-stealth games with any firmware?????

tyring to play non-stealth backups of games with the new iXtreme 1.0 firmware
either results in the green swirling screen that says please insert this disc in a
XBOX 360, or you will get a message on the tray status saying, `Unplayable Disc'.
