Maximus 360 FW Toolbox v3.1 with Garyopa Hitachi-LG Xtreme v1.7 Jitter
« Reply #150 on: May 11, 2007, 08:56:00 AM »

Ok, my problem/question.

I have a 47dh. I restored it to original. Now I put it in to Mode B using Slax. Boot up Windows. My drive is detected and is 100% in Mode B. I also have onboard compatible SATA (ICH6).

When I run toolbox and goto do a raw dump my drive tray automatically ejects after about 10 seconds.

If I hit the eject button on the drive once and load the disk the tray will stay closed.

When I do a RAW dump I get the "Cannot Read Drive" error.

I have read the tutorial and it says to eject the drive, how do you do this when every time I close the drive tray (hitting eject button 2x) it ejects within a few seconds because it is in Mode B?

Anyone have an idea what I am doing wrong?

I think someone needs to changed the post in the Releases/Tutorial thread.
Next to the 3.1 toolbox it says "(FW package we currently recommend for this drive v32-79)", misleading.

So for repeat:
Hitachi v32-v59 use C4EVA_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_4_Stealth (=Xtreme 2.4 with disc-jitter fix) to restore, dump, flash! (for restore NO original firmware required!!)

Hitachi v78 use FW Toolbox 3.1 (=Xtreme 1.7 with disc-jitter fix) to restore,dump,flash! (restore v78 original firmware required)[/b]

Earlier today I went straight to "the usual place" without first checking the forum here first. I navigated to /XBOX 360/firmware/hacked firmware/Hitachi-LG GDR-3120L and look at the files in there and saw "C4EVA_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_4_Stealth.rar" with yesterday's date stamp on it. I grabbed it and applied it to my 59DJ and everything worked just fine.

I then come on here and see an update to this stickied post -> Pinned:: Releases, Tuturial And Guides by Xantium and see this under the Hitachi section...

So I think to my self "DAMN! I've got to take apart my X360 again because I've flashed to the wrong/older firmware!" Luckily, I then see your post jelle2503 and so you've saved me some work (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Thanks as well to all those that worked so hard on these firmwares for us  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/pop.gif)
