PLEASE NOTE:
=========

The credits are WRONG in the "README"

"c4eva" did the original idea for disc-jitter and coding for the v47 Hitachi firmware,
and all CREDIT and THANKS must be given to "c4eva" for IMPLEMENTATION of the JITTER on the Hitachi.

I (GaryOPA) did the work on testing and making sure "c4eva" original implementation
would work on all the other versions of Hitachi drives.

I then worked with Maximus in updating the Toolbox v3.1 and by the time we (Maximus/Garyopa)
had gotten it update and ready for release, "c4eva" had also already implemented the fix for the
other drives based on his original v47 design.

==============================
This will be corrected shortly on the front-page.

Is there a way you guys can release a traditional dos batch file and exe to use this patcher instead of this windows gui based tool?

GaryOPA made this so easy, his flasher allowed me to easily flash my 78fk with ease to the 360 jitter bug edition.

If you grab the 2.3 pack, you can run RESTORE.BAT and it'll restore your hitachi drive to the original FW.

are u sure? in the how to install inserted in toolbox 3.1 is written that a v78 cant be restored with that function but only with the backup of original.bin "To do a restore on Hitachi versions prior to 78 use the RESTORE.BAT file
   that was included on those versions"

I can use a original.bin of another v78 drive?

I just want to say thanks to everyone who work with these firmwares, including Toshiba Samsung.
They use a lot of time I think and they are professional hackers.

To every whiners: STFU and take it or leave it!

I has flashed many Toshiba Samsung and every Hitachi drive, no one bricked yet.
So I will test the FW Toolbox 3.1 next time I got a Hitachi.

Keep ut the good work guys!

cool.gif  I too want to thank Maximus, Garyopa and especially C4EVA for all your sterling work.  You have given us all late nights of gaming and ask for nothing in return.

And as to the people that complain, read the damned txt files.

As one famous guy once said, "forgive them .... for they know not what they do"

Thank you very much and keep up the great work

(I will be flashing 8-9 machines over the next week and will edit the results and any notes here)

As someone asked before, I'm still with GaryOpa's 2.2 firmware but all the backups working great if burned on verbatims, some backups burned on Fujifilm stoped working (given me the dirty disc message) does this jitter correction do some good for beter readings and is it worth it to flash with this one?

BTW, THX to firmware squad, especially C4eva and GaryOPA since I'm on Hitachi.

No problems flashing my 59dj. I did have an error when restoring but it finished. I didn't try the 360-USB as others stated wouldn't work. Much props to Maximus, Garyopa, & C4E.  smile.gif

This is a forum, so unless someone is going to answer questions regarding the toolbox, please dont reply at all. one can easily reply directly to members with congrats and all that. Everyone in this community is of course in deep gratitude to the hackers rlz`ng all new firmware, that goes without saying.
