I know there is alot of what ifs but, wondering .If they cant see a dvd drive that is hacked they CAN see a copied game.Wouldnt it just not boot or would it rock your xbox? What has happened in previous updates? Ive done 13 360 for friends(hacked them) Trying to get them to disconect from xbox live and most of them have hitachis

Just so I get this straight... I can load this firmware up in xtremebootmaker and just overwrite my old 5.2B with 5.3B and I don't have to worry at all about injecting a key or XREADing before I flash the fw because the key will already be there from 5.2B right?

P.S. I'm using the MS25 that came with my system

I had the xtreme5.2 and what i, did was i used the Make Xtreme firmware.cmd that came with the xtremefirmware5.3. package.and follow the prompts. copied that .bin it created to my mktflash bootdisk, then i booted into dos from bootdisk, then i ran the mktflash command to flash the drive and it flashed it.

all my backups run fine no problems yet.

correct me if im wrong but to verify that the flash was succesful is when it says the 3 banks and datachecksum or some thing like that correct ?

I updated from 5.2C to 5.3A and here is the method i used:

1: went to http://www.x-projects.org/core/download.php?list.2 and downloaded

Xtreme Boot Maker v0.5.3-RC1
and
Xtreme Boot Maker Definition update v2.0

2: I followed the instructions with the definition update

3: i used the ms28 section in Textbook's guide( http://www.360mods.net/Downloads/get=61/mirror=123.html ) INCLUDING
dumping my already modded firmware
I didnt use the enable 0800 disk or whatever its called, i just used to 10 secs method

and using this method, everything still works, so i guess it had to flash!!!

"Quick question i have a samsung ms25 drive in an xbox 360 that originaly came with a hitachi drive the samsung is flashed with xtreme 5.2c spoofed to a hitachi. I am planning on using textbooks guide bad flash recovery method with xtremebootmaker i have the via sata card i just need to know if i use fw xtreme 5.3 d bin because the drive was already spoofed or if i have to respoof the drive and use fw 53d-ht59.bin"

Commodore4eva has just been talking on irc and hes finished the jitter patched hitatchi firmare, just going through testing it now. All you hitatchi owners chill out - not long to wait now!

Some further info, the firmware should be available for all HItatchis including the 78 and 79, no software flash for 79 still as of yet. Watch out for C4EVA_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_4_Stealth coming soon.
