IT clearly states that in the description.
A = Normal drive speed for all games
B = Slow speed for all games
C = Originals have normal speed, backups half speed
D = originals have half speed, backups normal speed.

I suggest you wait untill the iXtreme firmware is available if you are or intend to use Xbox Live.

Flashing back to original fw won't help you not get banned huh? even if you start using original discs on live?

i have a flashed ms28 drive with 5.2 FW,
I would like to upgrade my FW to 5.3 or the Ixtreme FW.
Do i Have to use my first original FW in order to upgrade to the latest???
or there is a more simple way to do it?

I still believe there is a SS applied, anyway not a problem since you need to start from the original.
Since you have a samsung the easiest way is to extract, from the original, the entire image with XBC (like doing a DL) then run Xdvdmulleter on it. Basically two clicks and all done.

I didn't have to apply the ss when I was making backups of my original xbox games to run on the 360.
