Need A Little Help With A Bricked Ms-25 Samsung

All Toshiba Samsung drives are unbrickable.

If you got a VIA VT6421L SATA card, everything is possible.
I have tried many methods to brick the drive, hits ESC when flashing and turn of the X360 when flashing.

I only have to use the 10 second trick (13 for me) and get the drive detected. I only use X360 as power source.

I hope you can get your drive fixed smile.gif

Thanks man, lets hope so too. I cant get my hands on another drive for a bit. Sad 'nough. I'm a bit low on supplies. I just opened my xbox again, gonna get my hands on another motherboard and try getting it to flash once again with the 10 second rule. I'm gonna be more creative this time, and try out diffrent things. I really want to get this working tonight, I got work in the morning =/ plus I miss my xbox!  sad.gif

Thanks for all the help everyone, keep dishing it out I'll keep trying random things. I'm just a bit lost as to if my MS-25 is fixable because quite a few people say it cant be unbricked and others say they've done it. I'm hoping to get lucky today.

If you have E65 you have more than likely blown something on the dvd drive firmware daughterboard.
If you have a good dump of your original firmware save yourself a load of stress & heartache & just order a new drive.

I have a cpl of samsung drives that have E65 & i can dump & write the firmware all day on them but they give E65 when put into a 360.

I ended up fixing my bricked sammy today. I posted my results on my thread over here My thread.

This is what i eneded up doing.

My new Samsung MS28 drive came in today to replace my bricked MS25. First thing that i did was make sure the drive was readable. It was. I rebooted and installed the hacked file that was on my usb stick from my original drive. There was no need for me to change the drive key since "samread" did that for me and created the hacked file with my key already inserted. Put it back together and it worked first shot!

The next thing i did was to see if i could fix the bricked MS25 original drive by hot swapping. I only have 1 360 here so i hooked up the bricked drive to my pc with the connectivity kit ( to get power to it only ) and left the new MS28 drive in the case. I booted into dos and turned on 360. Did the same thing as before, typed "samhack" and my serial ****** ***** and hit enter. Before i picked my sata card i turned off the 360 and pulled the sata cable out, plugged the sata cable into the connectivity kit and then used the 10 second trick. It unbricked fist shot!!! All those hours i wasted for nothing. Well atleast i got a working spare drive out of the deal incase i or a friends needs one. Hope this helps somebody out.

Alright! Thanks excalibour, I'm definately going to try this. Thanks Karlos also. Probably tomorrow after work.

The reason I cant buy one is mainly because I started work last week and I wont be getting my first paycheck for about two more weeks due to all the papers and all this crap that popped up. Then I broke my xbox and my Comp look at my luck eh? Thanks for giving a shed of hope guys.

I've had so much bad luck (Thus the name) Its taken over 2 months actually get everything I needed to flash this. Then I messed up and was left with nothing sad.gif I will do this! Or try!

Thanks again!
