I wont be spending my money on a clone simple as. This is a blatant clone, it reminds me of when people made clone mod chips for Xbox 1. Shame really. I would much rather spend my £40 on a well known brand such as Xecuter, at least they offer decent support and have a strong community.

the difference with the xbox clone modchips was that they were of low quality, compared to the original. Here we dont know anything about that yet biggrin.gif. You sound a bit tx fanboyish 2 me

About you spending $$ on a clone or not, you wont buy any of these tongue.gif since you dont have a 360 (atleast thats what i see you screaming in every thread)...

Someone will have to do a review of them side by side and see which one is really better.  If the Xeno is cheaper and works the same, people like cheaper, clone or not.  And if tx hadn't announced their product 6 months before it was ready to goto market (it's still not shipping yet it is??) and gave other people something to clone off and kept it secret, maybe this wouldn't have happened and they would have a huge lead in selling these.  But they kept saying, almost done, almost done, almost done and someone else came along and said DONE.  It sucks but it's business.  Not like these things are really needed for flashing much anymore.  Maybe for ripping games it handy, or down the road with bigger harddrives and hacked consoles, they could be used for dumping games to the hd but for now, tx needed this 6 months ago when firmware flashes were all the plenty.  Hell, I'm still running like 3.1 or something on my sammy.

My god, both of these companies suck. They both try to take things that suck about their products and spin them as good. They both take turns ripping on each other. They're both overpriced.

How are you qualified to say this?  Do you have any type of degree?  Just curious.  Oh and where are the increased functions that make the Xeno Top Gear superior to the Blaster?  Again, just curious.

If you are to lazy to lookup the functions... ill tell you that the xeno includes hdd transfer tongue.gif About my degree, i do have one smile.gif not in the area what would make me qualified to say something about this from a professional standpoint. Why i said it though is because i have modded my xbox in a clear cage without any rf shielding, so i can see the nice electronics, its standing right in the cabinet under my tv, for years already, and never had problems. So thats y i think cutting out a small piece will not do any harm...

Dude! Have you been on the Xecuter forums lately, their forum admins are power mad trolls... there free to abuse ANYONE asking simple support questions... their famous for it!

Xeno TG... buy it, its cheaper and it works... and get support WITHOUT grief!

I don't think you can accuse X admins of that.  Moderators don't do what they want for no reason, if people are not following rules or cannot do a simple search there will be many people assisting them not just admin people.
Other people do report bad behavior, its a community forum.

Many questions get asked and answered everyday and people always get great support.  It is a great support forum with lots of information for many people.

Top Gear is pretty much a rip off blaster and the only major thing people complain about is price for Blaster.

In conclusion, I have to say this battle of these products is stupid IMO.
It would be nice to get an independent reviewer to compare both.

if you look at the installs of each product, one can see that xeno has less parts.
doesnt this amount to less production costs? yes it does.
xeno may have very well watched tx throuout the build if these companies get products made in the same region. who knows how many more of these units we will see.

this is strait forward buisness people.

every major corporation copies products made by others in attempt to grasp a share of that market.

look at game controllers.

go into your favorite game store, look at the price of all the types of controllers there, and compare?

how many are cheaper than the original?

almost every one. and yet i hear no complaints.

blatant ripoffs? yes. complete ripoffs. once a review is done, you just may buy one of these "ripoffs" because it is a good piece of hardware, regardless of who is making it.

its not fair to xeno or xecuter that we/anyone take sides before a  true 3rd party comparison is made.

im sure when XanTium gets ahold of these products side by side, that is what will happen

a fair comparison.

until then, what does anyone of us really know?

Not going to take the time to read all the replys, but i do have one thing to say about everyone saying they copied, who cares, it doesnt matter, you cant have a monoply its not fare to anyone and anyone that supports that is werid to say the least because your supporting prices going up. With this one out xeno has to do one thing and that is have good custumer service, so if sometihng goes wrong with a product, take a hit because in the end they would then get al the sales just cause they are cheaper. But if they dont then I would spend more money if im going to get someithng better.

Xantium do a review? Somehow I'm expecting HSDemonz to do it, in about 5-6 months. He often kicks products downstairs, runs them over, whatever, for a good 5 months before he decides to post a review. And about the functionality of the two, i'm typically a Tx fanboy, although xeno's Hdd support as well is kind of tempting. And as for quality, wait for a review or at least some nice hires pics side by side before you jump to any conclusions
