After flashing your firmwire you can make and play back-up games too right?
Oh and how do you tell what drive you have? I'm not sure if mine can be firmwired or not, so just wondering.
you still have to open your 360 to install this thing. same as the Xecutor.
and thats when you find out what drive you have.
if you really need to ask how you do it then i would suggest you make a stop at the newbie section and read the tutorials.
in every sence of the word this and the Xecutor devices are one of convenience.
sure its nice to have your unit all closed up and only have to open it once. but as another member said flashing is a one time deal and doesnt need to be done for quite a while. if ever.. the hard drive idea does open the door to some interesting possibilities but none that are currently available.
most interesting is the ability to instantly see the dvdrom in windows and the hard drive and do things with them right then and there. no need to use dos, or whatever.
as for ripping games i wouldnt see why it cant be used for such things. flash it with the ripping firmware and off you go..
as for the Xecutor device having all the protection and crap who cares, this thing is using the power supplied to the device already to do what it needs to do.
there is little to know curcuit protection needed. all its doing is using a simple pass thru type technology and what power is needed is VERY minor and absolutely doesnt warrant the need to plug in amolex from your PC power supply.
frankly i find the Xecutor device extremely over bloated and extremely tasking in that you need to drag out a molex from your pc to hook up to it.
not only that but its retarded $75 price tag makes it unaffordable for most.
if these guys can do it for 45 then there is no reason why they need to charge 75.
