Although it will not be part of the official ScummVM program, some of our team members have been working on a little easter surprise for you all. Unfortunately, we're running a bit late.

Expect something very sweet (especially for Linux and Mac people) soon...

im quoting this from the scummvm main ...

and im crossing fingers that maybe its a GRIMM engine emulator.

like i´ve said before it couldnt happen a better thing to my xbox than playing grim fandango in it.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

As I mentioned in the original post I know about the screen size issue so I don't need to be told that it needs to be in there.

Everything else I will take on board and consider for a future release.

Asher -

Regarding Xenesis - it's been almost 18 months since I even looked at the code, so another release is not very likely.

That said though - who knows what I might get up to once OpenXDK is up and usable.

wadsy -

yes you can convert save games from the pc version of the game. All you need do is change the name of the save game file and drop it into E:\\UDATA\\fff3faac

I did this with my save from Broken Sword 2.

I can't remember off hand what the naming format needs to be. But if you load up COMI and save a game, then just replace that one with the one from the pc you should be good to go.

Please keep the comments and suggestions coming guys

Just a question really,

Is it a good idea to run COMI from disc? It's just that the game seems to need to be accessing the DVD almost continuously. I wondered if there's a chance this might screw up the laser if you were playing for a long time.

Would it be possible to have the emu copy some of the resource files to the Z:\ partition and run them from there if it's being played from disc? (like my DVD version of KI-Emu X).

Most of my testing has been on a v1.0 box with a thomson dvd-rom - I don't know if the other models of dvd-rom have differing seek and access times etc.

The drives can have an effect on read speed. My modded Samsung drive seems to copy/load faster than my brother's normal Samsung drive, which in turn was faster than my stock Philips drive.

I agree, we need to stay focused on what this thread is really about.

So, back on the topic of Scumm vm and Xbox Media Center, I have this red rash on my left buttock that keeps getting bigger, vaguely resembles the virgin Mary pile-driving Astroboy, and smells like asparagus and i was wondering...

Great job Carcharius, I'm loving this release.

Sorry for my repeat, but i don't have any answers:

Does this version always use SCUMMVM.INI ?? and command line like:

[indy3]
description=Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
language=en
path=D:\INDY3\

Thanks for your update!

Sorry I don't quite understand what you're trying to do.

Are you saying that you're trying to run ScummVM from dvd and that you've put the ini file on the dvd with the xbe?

If that is the case then that won't work - it doesn't look for the ini file in the same place as the xbe. The ini file is created in and loaded from E:\\TDATA\\fff3faac

If you're trying to do something else then sorry but I don't get it. Please try and explain in more detail what you are trying to do.

Do you guys know you can hook your xbox up to a PC Monitor? (everyone should have gotten the small adapter) which you can hook the xbox to a pc screen (and pc screens can be adjusted so that scumvmx isnt cut off).
