The way everyone says use slax to get your Hitachi drive into modeb, it seems as though you can download the latest version of slax off of their site.

This is not the case.

A modified version slax in order to get your drive into modeb, (at least that was my experience) I must say this confused me for the past 2 or 3 hours as people don't really make reference to the fact that its not just download slax and run it. Also the link to it is broken in the tutorial adding to confusion, hope that clears things up for others trying to flash their first Hitachi's.
If this was posted in an obvious spot sorry I missed it, if not I think it should be, as I was about to buy a connector kit before i realized the issue I was having.

well heres the guide id follow textbook's guide there is a link that auto downloads the right slaxs for you, what verison of hitachi d o u have ?
