he he, Top was moved just as I clicked "add reply" But Sosotiit, you think its possible that you can add http://www.360drives.com/list to the first post just so others would know about the site aswell? That way with the drive can add their information and people who don't know what drive they have can compare their information with that on the site.

Yep, That would be good. Would help alot of those that don't want to opne the Xbox 360 unless they are sure it can be flashed.

When there is a new version, it will probably be on the main page and a whole new thread (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Hi, yeap I got the 79Fk  mad.gif  but whats funny is that the mfr date on x360 case is 2006-02-04 and the date on the hitachi drive is January 2007, now I got this 360 second hand so im guessing that maybe the person before me had the drive replaced, or is there some other reason for this because the microsoft strip was still over the case.

I hope this is kind of on topic - if not feel free to bump me. Just got an Xbox 360 with manufacturing date of 2006-05-14 inside is a H-LG DVD rom with manufacturing sticker of January 2007 with 0079fk firmware. I was told this is a brand new unit - it obviously is a remanufactured unit. My point to all this is that MS somehow can update the firmware and key in these drives to match old motherboards therefore someone much cleverer than me should be able to do this also! Good luck and keep up the fantastic work

It already works with Xtreme firmware, you just cant dump/flash with software.  The original firmware has been available for quite sometime now and the issue is know, so we'll see.  I havent read any recent progress updates.
