« on: February 06, 2007, 02:35:00 PM »

what files have you got on ur usb pen?

post a screen print if possible.

ive got the following files on my memory stick which i flashed using xtreme firmware 5.2 and xtreme bootmaker, also updating the keycheck.exe and x30sam.exe files

keycheck.exe,
mtkflash.exe,
mtkflash.typ,
samhack.bat
samorig.bat
samread.bat
samremod.bat
and
x360sam.exe

i imagine its one of those .bat files you are missing. i expect its samhack or samremod

the fwtoolbox opens my ORIG.BIN

Rom Version: Samsung-TSH943A-ms25
Rom Size: 256kb

*Firmware Spoofed as TSH943Ams25*

it then displays a key

the tag data at the bottom (serial #, date, and owner)  remains blank however.
I hope this helps.  Thanks.

use twtoolbox to inject your key into fw 5.2 and see if you can write to your drive

once you've injected the key into the firmware, i dont think you should be using samhack,

as the way jabski is discribing means you are now making your hacked.bin manually.

you should be using mtkflash in write mode, writing back the hacked.bin you made yourself with fwtoolbox.

if you look through this manual tutorial (http://forums.xbox-s...howtopic=563397) you will get the idea, it is for a ms-28 drive, but the flashing / reading rules still apply.

Is the memory pen ok? it is formatted in fat32 isnt it? sounds like its just having issues reading and writing to the usb pen correctly.

The tutorial I was following, made by Textbook, included the instructions for making a bootable usb stick with all the necessary files using xtreme boot maker (samread, samhack, etc).  I'm hesitant to try any other method, especially one that includes writing my own firmware.  I just don't want to brick my drive.  I will try reformatting the stick again to fat32 and the using bootmaker.  Maybe that will help.  Thanks again.

you can remane the file that 5.2 fw makes from 5.2*.bin to hacked.bin. Then you can use samhack to write it if you want to. Or just type mtkflash w /m hacked.bin

Put orig.bin in 5.2fw folder
run .batch file
select which fw you want (a,b,c,d)
select spook as ms25

e.g. you selected 5.2d

boot to dos

just type mtkflash w /m 5.2d.bin
