hellooo Saw that you have firmware your xbox 360 with BenQ.Where did you get Firmware ?
That is
incorrect. Those of us who have Benq drives are waiting for the hacked firmware from C4E (Also known as Commadore Forever).... THERE IS NO FIRMWARE (AS OF NOW) THAT IS HACKED. You can not use backups on this drive until the hacked firmware is released. I trust others in this room who say we will be the first to know once it's out.
We can only read and write the original firmware for the sole purpose of extracting the key (Drives are married to motherboard). You need the key in order to use a different drive like Toshiba / Samsung MS-25 or MS-28 with your current 360. These drives can be found on E-Bay for as little as $40.00. These drives are not as quiet as the BenQ, but will work just fine. The MS-25 is a little more expensive because it is easier to flash. It is the most sought after drive due to this reason.
I also seen a the Maximus Hitachi 79 passkey listed on Ebay. Right now, this is the only way to extract and write firmware to the Hitachi drives.
Not to bash you or anything-
I am not the expert and no one wrote this much info in one post for me. I had to research everything on my own by doing simple searches in this forum. YES, it was intimidating at first. The interface for searching isn't the greatest. However, at least try. It will become familiar to you.
Trust me- If there is a way to do something, it's listed here. And if it isn't, wait a day or so....it will be
Good luck!!!
