I have searched this forum and have not been able to come to any conclusion, so if the answer is here, I apologize.  I have a Hitachi 78 drive and no access to a desktop right now.  My question is whether or not PCMCIA SATA cards can be used with SLAX cds in a laptop, and also if there are any that support dumping and flashing.

It seems as though it should work because I can boot up the SLAX cd in my laptop, which should be able to force the Hitachi into mode B.  If that is possible, and the drive can be recognized, will the Maximus Toolbox work with the PCMCIA card?

Since the Hitachi 78 does not work with the USB Kit (which I purchased before realizing that there was a Hitachi 78), will there be any problems using this set up through PCMCIA SATA?

I found this card, http://www.topmicrousa.com/wbt-6030v.html, which is out of stock, but seems to have the correct chipset.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have been searching this forum, among other forums, for an answer but have yet to find anything concrete.  Thanks for reading all this, and please post if you have had success with this setup.
