I've read and read and and read and followed guidelines before attempting - Great Forum!

ICH7 chipset / sammy ms28 drive  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I had Successful read 4 times consistently and flash once with extreem5.2c using vcc switch.    (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)  
After successful flash on all 4 banks I tested original games in 360 to verify everthing working correctly.
Hooked Back up to pc and backed up all 7 of my sons games (always with gator clips connecting pc to xbox)
After re-assembling put oringinal game in to play and started to load then screen started going out like a digital pixelation then it rebooted. After it rebooted started gettiing dreaded E65, and on occasion E64. Now drive will not spin up. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

Hooked back up to pc and can still see the drive. I thought great! Flash again... Nope. now it hangs at 00% and tried every combination to try and get it "un-bricked".
Question?
    Will Via chipset help?
    Is there a service that will unchip / reflash with orig.bin or 53c?
    Is drive dead or just firmware? I can still see it from pc and attempt to flash it but no luck!

Any help would be great!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/uhh.gif)

I had a similar problem with mine where it would just sit there.
This was because i had updated FW to xtrem5.2 and in order to reflash you need to use the enable 0800 disc to reflash.
I don't know if this is the problem you are having but i thought it would be worth a shout.

There is a tutorial somewhere on here about using the 0800 enable disc but from what i can remember you need to just run the 0800 disc for about 15 seconds in the Xbox drive at your dos prompt.It should then let you run the reflash.There is an iso for it somewhere it says it needs to be burnt onto a DVD+R DL but i burnt it onto a SL and it worked fine.
I don't know if this applies if you are still using the vcc switch method though..
But i am pretty sure you need to do it if you are using the standard method and already have extrem fw on it......
It worked for me....

Thanks for the reply,

Unfortunately, the drive will not spin up to read the disk. I tried manually ejecting the tray and then inserting the disk but no avail. It will not spin it up. I don't hear the motor nor see the disk spinning. It does not appear the the laser head is moving. However, i must be getting power to the drive since mktflash can see the master sata port. If the drive is not connected the port does not show up.

Any One else have any Ideas?
I ordered a new sata card with the via chipset to test with. I'll post the status for that card. Any other help would be greatly appreciated!!!!
