Xbox 360 Warrenty With Modified Firmware

Hey all,

my xbox has the dreaded red ring of death syndrome. i called Microsoft and they agreed to repair it. should i revert my modified firmware on the hitachi to the original?
if someone has done this id love to hear from them.

MS will just send back your console if the Microsoft tag has been tampered with.  You are better off saving your money (shipping) and paying someone to the hairdryer method to see if your 360 can be revived.  Your warranty is void the second you open your console....so it won't matter if you flash back or not.

Don't know what the result will be but what you're trying to do is considered fraud and not supported on this boards

thats why you should buy the console from gamespot or some place similar, buy THEIR warranty.  they dont care if the sticker is broken, they just give you a new console.

Poster, be fully aware that sending an opened box to M$ that's out of warranty or not is considered fraud and that will not be discussed here.
