E65 Samsung Ms25 Problems
« on: January 10, 2007, 05:33:00 AM »

Ok i had a samsung ms25 and flashed it to 4.0. Once back in case got error 66. Read a few bit about it and went to install 5.2a set to ms25. All went ok. Now get error 65. Is there a recovery from error 65 or does that mean the drive has had it ? If so will it be ok to put a hitachi drive in (with key inserted) ??
many thanks

i used the file that comes with fw 5.2
I need to know if anyone has got a ms25 working again after getting error 65. Otherwise i guess i will have to get a new drive (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

reflash with your original fw

i had e65 on mine when it was flashed incorectly

ull need either the 0800 recovery disk, or use the bad flash recovery method using that via card

i received a used sammy ms25 like that... i could reflash it all day, but still e65 no matter what i flashed it with. personally, i think it was caused by being plugged into the power cable incorrectly(backwards) because the black plastic around the power port is broken, but that is only a guess because i got it like this.

It does seem strange. I tried 3.3, 5.2, orig.bin and had no joy. The drive is reading Error 64 now after being Error 65 yesterday. It had already gone to M$ for a referb but the person i was doing it for didnt remember what number error it was then   (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
Guess its time to get a new drive for it. Anyone know where in the uk stocks them ??
