I cant get my Hitachi 0078 drive into mode b.

I am using slax 2 and a sata to usb cable connected to my computer

the sata and the usb lights both come on on my sata to usb device and slax boots into the login screen but it wont put it into mode b

any help would be appreciated

I had the same problem when I first tried modding my 360 with the sata > usb cable. I put a game in the 360 drive and let slax boot from my pc. Once it gets to the login prompt try ejecting / inserting the 360 drive a few times.


Problem was when I got to doing the raw dump and the green light on the cable went red! Hopefully you'll have better luck

Thanks for the reply but I used just a sata cable hooked up to my motherboard instead and it worked perfectly. The reason I was trying to get the sata > usb to work is because I will have to be using my laptop in the next few months and in case I need to flash it I want to be able to use my laptop. but thanks again for the reply I will try that next time.
