Iriez, Saint's Row and Test Drive Unlimited backups are still locking up on me with 5.2.  I can confirm that disc read is better with the new lockon.  I still had a couple backups I burned that didnt work laying around, gave those a shot, they now read.  Hopefully my 111d will be here and I just bought some verbatim media.  Will let you guys know if that fixes my lockups with those 2 backups.  Anyhow, thanks for all the great work c4e!  beerchug.gif

You mean your "backup" copy of Halo 2 doesn't work.
That is what you were going to say isn't it..?  wink.gif

On Topic:
I really need to do some reading on these SATA mods.

@Chigawaa
Do you have any screenshots for that mod you were suggesting.
Sounds interesting.

EVERYBODY you wont believe this
I took big bumpin used simpleXISO and burned it on supercheap playo media
AND IT WORKS PERFECTLY
Not as an xbox1 game but it works as a 360 single layer disk!

I couldnt belive it worked I just extracted the game and recreated it as a xbox1 game
took out the default.xbe for xbox1

And it loaded it was a littlye slow loading but it works !!!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I tried it online and it works there too !

I got a quick question I has a pci sata card I can flash everytime with the enable0800 disk but how do I boot the drive in windows xp it lock my computer up every time at the loading screen

This happened to me when I was using my 6421 raid card.  I had to update to the newest drivers in order to prevent it from locking up at the windows screen.

Out for less than a day, and tested heavily amongst our beta team for 3 days + ....you think we go public without testing first? smile.gif

First off...great work c4e, you guys never cease to amaze.

Ok, I have some cheap media that, when I would burn xbox1 games to, my drive would report the "open tray" message, even with 5.1.  So will this new 5.2 possibly allow that media to run?

Likely. Why dont you try it, and tell us your results? That IS what we want to hear you know.

Yes, this is likely the case. First, we must distinguish the difference between the BK games, and 'real' xbox360 games. That is, they are multi boot...for xb1 and 360. Therefore, considering the price and time spent, we all know that these games are single layer.

The 360 does random LBA checks for 360 games, sometimes to layer1 (2nd layer) which is what causes/will cause issues for SL xbox360. A game like sneak king, or big bumpin, will obviously only be on layer0. Which is why it boots on SL.

We have confirmed FEAR working on SL as a raw image (just layer0 raw data extracted).

Likely it works as a file based iso because of its support for xb1.

So,

Is there any real reason for someone with FW 4.1a to upgrade to 5.2a if they:

A) Have no desire to play SL discs
cool.gif Have no media read issues

For the life of me I can't see a valid reason to flash until there are new security tweaks, or other reasons compelling for the upgrade?

There is a much easier way guys.  All you need to do is cut a hole in the case shileding and the grey piece under the Hard drive.  The purchase this from New Egg (STA cable adapter).  Take one of them loose and connect one end to the hard drive and the other to the 360 cable.  Then when you want to flash remove hard drive, pull cable out of hole (plenty of slack) and plug it into the other cable from the new egg purchase.  You then have a nice long cable to plug into the PC. I have mine liek this and it takes me less than 1 minute to setup my 360 to flash.

Let me know if you have any questions or need some pics.

Of course the media used is dual layer...xbox1 was dual layer. The data is however only on layer0.

I saw that too, but I'd rather not have to see a huge gaping hole every time I take off my hard drive.
