I hate to do it but.. bump.. I am really getting sick of this. Im actually thinking about buying a new drive JUST so I can update. Maybe even go to hitachi. sleeping.gif

No, because it requires a different sata card I guess which as I said I want to save as a last resort. Which I still have doubts that it will work. sleep.gif

fyi: Unpluging all your computer drives dose nothing to help the proccess, also you for got the /sata extention in the cmd line

your probably just overlooking something simple, only use the slot closest to the front on your via vt6421, do you have a edited mtkflash?, what revision of the card do you have (6421A, 6421L, etc.)?

Yup that was problem solved. I never thought something simple like this would attack me for so long without me knowing of it. I feel so idiot, but good at the same time that I can finally flash my samsung, thanks grim for reminding me of the simple things. pop.gif

i remember some thing like that happened once with me , i remember that i disabled the auto detection from the system setup (bios settings) to solve that , and it worked , keeping it on some times makes it no visible to dos
