Just grasping at straws now - try Xtreme 4.2b

Reasons - it is a fairly stable release (ie I have not seen a rash of posts about problems with it), plus the b type should be tolerant of poor media.....

Worth a shot anyway

 Just tried it, and same thing, and now I'm getting open tray sometimes on my orignal disc, and even sometimes I get the message put this game in a Xbox 360, and then sometimes it will boot fine.

This drive is jinx'd!
