Hi all, first off thank everyone for their awesome support here. I am using a vt8237 onboard sata chipset of which i have done about 4 sammies and 4 hitachis(2-47dj 2-59) but for some reason when i come to this one hitachi with 47dj mfg date november 2005 it locks up the comp at memory test when drive is on before pc. I have tried in normal mode and 2 wire trick before pc is on and still the same thing. Slax boot cd wont find the drive if i turn on box after bios sata detect and even when trying 2wire trick at windows loading screen it hangs with no help if i hit eject. Also i tired 2wire trick while in windows and comp instantly locks again. as previously mentioned i have done 2 other 47dj (one december05 mf date) with this comp and chipset no problem with either slax or 2wire method but this one drive is giving me the problem. any suggestions would be much appreciated, let me know if any other info is needed.
