Status = 51 is what you would expect if firmgurad was still enabled, so it is quite likely that your drive is still ok

What is your EXACT step-by-step procedure that you have used to try the Enable disk?

power up xbox

insert enable disc, let it spin (but it stays spinning up and down - like it has trouble reading it!)

eject disc after about 10 - 15 seconds (some times i leave it longer but seems to make no difference)

boot up pc on usb stick

run mtkflash command

drive is recognised (i only have the xbox drive connected)

select 1 from list - (it still seems to give me 2 other options though!?)

hangs with that same text line until i press escape

then shows the 51 should be 70 error

should i try burning another disc?, what burning program is best to use!?

thanks for you help!

well i have burned several discs now and still no joy!

I dont know what else to try!!! sad.gif

If i get the via sata card and boot it from that with the 10 second trick, should that sort it out??

..... and if worse comes to worse (hopefully it wont!) , can i replace the drive with a new one and inject the new drive with my orig.bin

also if it is relevant...

when booted up the xbox shows the bottom right light flashing red!
