Here is a summary of what i have done so far
1.opened xbox unplugged sata cable from back of dvd drive.
2.created boot disk (cd) floppy wont create boot disk
3.put mtkflash.exe---mtkflash.typ---xtreme.bin---xtreme0800.bin
on boot disk
4.installed rosewill rc-212 sata pci card with via 6421 chipset
5.connected xbox dvd drive to sata card via sata cable
6.booted pc to a: typed mtkflash r/m orig.bin
7.said reading went to 50% back down to 0% (did this twice)
8.rebooted to windows file orig.bin is on floppy
9.opened orig.bin with hex workshop went to 4000 then 200 copied info
10.opened xtreme.bin went to 4000 then 200 pasted copied files from orig.bin saved as modified.bin
11.booted to a: drive again entered mtkflash w m modified.bin
and got port 170 master/slave:b0 everytime i do it
12.tried burning the 0800.bin file to DVD+R DL and using mtkflash to read or write the firmware again but thats all i get.
13.backed up lost planet/gears of war. burned with clone cd and dvd encrypter(set the layer break to the appropriate number neither copy worked but i did get a screen that said please put disc in a xbox 360.
14.using pioneer 111 burner verbatim DVD+R DL media.
I have spent about 12 hours on this today someone please help me.
i have tried waiting 10-20 seconds with the 0800 disc in the 360 tried turning on the xbox once im at the prompt for mtkflash
i don't know what else to do
