Memturbo:

I haven't messed with xb1 game backups on the 360 really...but from my understanding you can't just burn a raw .iso dump.....I think you need to convert the .iso with Qwix for them to work with this firmware setup.....I tried a couple xb1 disc from my old chipped xb1 and they didn't seem to work. (They were just straight .iso burns)

I think the latest version of Qwix is v1.01......

MOD EDIT -USING A OLD QWIX TO MAKE A XBOX 1 ISO WILL RESULT IN YOUR BACKUPS NOT WORKING ON XTREME FIRMWARE. A PUBLIC VERSION WILL BE AVAILIBLE SOON THAT FIXES THIS ISSUE. </EDIT>

Didn't know if thats how your doing it or not....just saw your post and thought i'd try and help lead ya in a different direction and hopefully solve the issue......

Report back, if thats what your already doing or not....and if you get it all figured out.....

Good Luck!

what ever hapened to the hitachi development? i'm pretty sure the last update we got was the end of october...2 mos later we're still waiting on media stealth...i don't mean to whine or bitch or ne thing...but hitachi is getting seriously dominated by the progress on the samsung drives.

Good work on C4E's part though, this new qwix tool, will it be used through the ehternet port or still connecting the drive to the PC?

On a side note..if i were to use a sammy-media stealth backup on a hitachi drive would there be a benefit? (my roommate has a samsung so i can backup my games using his) i know that the hitachi can't RIP or recognize the PFI DMI w/e sectors, but if i'm using a stealth media backup and the game checks the disc sectors will it still appear to be media stealthed or will it appear to be just a regular backup w/o patching? Thanks to whomever answers that.

Hi guys good job on the new firmware  biggrin.gif

Just a quick question i have my 360 flashed to extreme 4.1a and have had no problems is it worth upgrading to this new firmware or should i not try and fix something that isnt broke  uhh.gif  thanks in advance

As with any upgrade for ANYTHING, just read the features of the new version.  If you want them and feel they are worth it, then upgrade.  If you aren't going to use them or use them much (and everything is currently working for you) why would you bother to upgrade?

Removed.

And, can you flash your drive like the Hitachi drives now, with that cmd thing included?

I think I want 5.1a just for the permanent full-speed reading.

Either way, great Christmas gift from C4E.

Thankx, c4e!  This firmware works great.  I tested some 360 backups that were giving me problems on the 4.2, (i.e. wouldn't run, locked up), they are working fine now.  Also, just backup my GTA:SA and converted using gdfimage, burned on ritek dvd-r, with nec 3550a, and it looks like its working too.  Gonna backup some more of my xbox1 originals and see what others are woking.  Thanks again man, this is awesome (and so is the 5.1b ALWAYS slow, been hopin for that too tongue.gif )

Why are so many people asking to have the firmware emailed to them.  blink.gif   I am fairly new to this myself but I at least know where to get the latest firmwares.

I do have some questions, when I try to read my ms25 drive, I do not get any response when using samread xxxxxxx xxxxx.  I have an Intel 865 mobo with ICH5 chipset.  This should be native when using the Extreme boot maker correct?  Do I have to use the 0800.ISO to read the original firmware?  I have so far given up and just decided to order a VIA sata card.  Let me know if am missing something so I can return the Sata card if my mobo can do the read\write without any issues.

War stalker yea i believe you need the 0800 disc to make the 360 unlock, depends on which version firmware you have on, but mine i had 4.1 firmware and i needed the 0800 disc. I ordered a via sata card also, i think that is the best way to go now. Its really easy biggrin.gif

First and foremost, kudos to c4e and 'support staff' for your continued great work.  Thank you for sharing.  Thanks much for the return of speed switching.

SL Backup Results:
All media tested - drive can't read the disc (spin-up/spin-down cycles lasting a second or so).  I get this same behavior with DVD movie backups too for all tested media.  The media I've tried is obviously not compatible with my drive.  I have yet to witness a successful test with many different types of media on v5.x so far.  All discs made (game/movie) work OK in the XB1.

Requested Info:
Media: Taiyo Yuden-R(8x), TDK-R(2x), Sony-RW(2x), TDK-RW(4x), JVC-RW(4x)
Burner: Pioneer 111D (fw 1.19)
X360: 5.1c on MS28.  Reporting as a HT46 on a heatgun repaired NTSC/U Oct-2005
Backups Tried: Halo NTSC/U, Links2004 NTSC/U, DVD movie (NTSC)

A few Questions

1/ If I have a Hitachi 59 is it best to use this Maximus-Garyopa_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_3_Stealth_Rev2 or use the Xtreme Version 51X-ht59.bin ?

1a/ If I flash a 59 with 51X-ht59.bin what benefits will I get ?

2/ If I use toollbox v3 for the Hit 78 can I also use 51X-ht78.bin ?

Thanks

The point of the ht59 and other hitachi builds are to fake the 360 into thinking the samsung drive is a hitachi, so people can swap a samsung drive with a hitachi motherboard. You cannot use this firmware with a hitachi drive.

I tried to make a back-up copy of halo2 (PAL xbox360)

I made the ISO with gdfimage ---> it didn't work (DDE)
Then I tried to make the ISO with SimpleX ISO v0.3 ---> IT WORKS

I tried using some dvd+rw media

Can anyone confirm that halo2 works if the iso is made with that program?

sry for my dumb english
