Still nothing works
I tried new media Memorex
I tried fixxbe and used clonecd, imgburn ect ect
I made the iso with quix ,craxton and every xbox iso making program i could download.
Nothing works Disk read error on every disk made
Have flashed all 4 5.1 firmwares and none make any difference
flashed as ms28 and ms25 notta
just tried another dvd rw RITEK 004
still same thing DRE all the way!
First, what i need to know is...
Have you installed a previous firmware that DOES work? I ask because i have seen some drives that absolutly REFUSE to boot recordable dvd. Have you tried xtreme 1.0 ? First version? 3.3? 4.2? For now, just test with your ritek RW ...it SHOULD work, as i have confirmed RW functioning fine.
Also, please test this out. We have confirmed some games that give dre's or have stutter issues CAN be resolved by using layouts!
visit
Here to get the layout files, and grab
MooGUI in order to use them! Please test with a fully working confirmed release like halo.

I tried to make a back-up copy of halo2 (PAL xbox360)
I made the ISO with gdfimage ---> it didn't work (DDE)
Then I tried to make the ISO with SimpleX ISO v0.3 ---> IT WORKS
I tried using some dvd+rw media
Can anyone confirm that halo2 works if the iso is made with that program?
sry for my dumb english
Try the above mentioned program. But you'll have to delete dashupdate.xbe / update.xbe to make it fit on SL

I don't care for Xbox 1 games working on single dvd-r is there much point me updating from 4.2 to this release?
Not unless you have open tray issues.

First and foremost, kudos to c4e and 'support staff' for your continued great work. Thank you for sharing. Thanks much for the return of speed switching.
SL Backup Results:
All media tested - drive can't read the disc (spin-up/spin-down cycles lasting a second or so). I get this same behavior with DVD movie backups too for all tested media. The media I've tried is obviously not compatible with my drive. I have yet to witness a successful test with many different types of media on v5.x so far. All discs made (game/movie) work OK in the XB1.

Backups Tried: Halo NTSC/U, Links2004 NTSC/U, DVD movie (NTSC)
Also, i forgot to mention...
Have you guys tested the original firmware for the drive to see if it plays originals? One of the main(and most common) issues with the above problems is that your key is incorrect. The following reasons that could happen is...
A: You didnt bother patching the key at all.
B: the program you used corrupted it
C: the dump of your original firmware became corrupted while reading, and therefore patching of the key has become corrupted aswell.
PLEASE verify that your key is correct!! You can do so by using firmware toolbox 3.0 to copy the key from your current firmware to a original UN-HACKED firmware to the drive. If you are about to tell me that you dont have any originals to test, then i would tell you to bring your problems elsewhere (IMG:

IMPORTANT NOTE - Your key DOES NOT have to be correct in order to play dvd movies!!! That is NOT a appropriate testing proceedure.
