Layer Break Question
« on: December 25, 2006, 05:03:00 PM »

Hi,

I use Schtrom360 Xtract, Imgburn, and Verbatium DLs. I have a hitachi 47dj with the latest firmware.

If I use Schtrom extract to do  backups xbox 1 games, is it the same as a 360 game?

Meaning I use Whole disc (Stealth xtreme 3.0) then use the specified layer break (1913760) for the game?

No, I think xbox1 games have a different layerbreak. Don't know what it is though.
Search the forum I know I've seen the answer somwhere here.   (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Thats the layerbreak for 360 games, the OP wanted the break for xbox original games.

The break according to this tutorial is 2029727.

Don't use that.

The layerbreak for xbox 1 games is 1913776.

I just read through that tutorial and I think he made a mistake - he read off the layerbreak of the movie he put in and then used that to burn.  This should result in a coaster.  If he was able to make correct backups of xbox 1 games and play on his 360, maybe it doesn't matter what the layerbreak is on xbox 1 games.  However, the correct layerbreak is 1913776

According to this thread the xbox1 layerbreak is differrent.

xbc will create 2 files after reading/ripping your disc. they are *.000 and *.dvd. open the *.dvd file with 'notepad' and you will notice a layer break number. xbox360 and xbox1 game discs are different. if you are using imgburn program, be sure to insert the correct layer break numbers into -> Tools -> Setting -> Write -> Option User Specied -> Sectors in L0.......

But with xtreme v5.x you can burn xbox1 games to a SL disc so it don't matter anymore.

Of course they're different:

XBox 360: 1913760
XBox One: 1913776

Note the difference?
