Apologies for asking for help on my first post, however I am having BIG problems trying to flash an MS28 drive as follows
any of you good folks able to help!?
>>>I have a TS-H943 with MS28 f/w<<<
I have followed the instructions in this thread to the letter and every time I select the drive I get the following error message:
Port: B400, Master/Slave a0
I have tried every variation of unplugging, booting PC to command prompt, switching on 360, running mtkflash r /m orig.bin (also tired with /sata), switching 360 on or off, waiting 10 secs blah, blah
I am using a VIA SATA PCI card with a 6421A chipset ~ the 360 drive is recognised in Windows via the chipset utility program, see image below.
I have disabled all onboad SATA/IDE channels (no difference), I have an optical drive on the PCI card IDE channel, tried different SATA cables, tested PCI card independently, and reinstalled it a few times for good measure.
Here is a screen shot of a few of the settings:

I have not tried editing mtkflash separately as I seem to have a few problems grasping the fundamentals of this process

therefore any help would be greatly appreciated and all the best for 2007!
