do i need to put my keys into the fw ixtreme1.2c ?
i try iprep but it say " No Valid Firmware"

ive done everything except inserting my key into the firmware i already flashed it and it seems to be working fine but i havent check any of my backups, i used ixtreme firmware should it work without inserting my key?

If you flashed the drive and originals are working,it's ok.Backups would work too.

Prepare the firmware with ixtreme and flash it with XBM.I don't trust iprep,samtool etc..The purpose of the topic is to be %100 sure with XBM and mtkflash

I have a 360 console with a bad dvd drive. I tried switching out the drive with one from annother xbox, using the logic board from the broken drive and it will play dvds now but not games. Both drives are samsung ms25's. I'm thinking that maybe someone before me already screwed with the dvd drive and installed one from another unit without flashing it. Is there anyway to fix this?

You don't have the key and you can't restore it without having its key.Can you talk to the guy who sold you?

I don't think sd card reader could be booted.However,you may try it

Thanks for the reply myfranco I used my 512mb sd card and flashed my drive with not problem.

I used xtreme 3.3 is there any advantage using newer version?

Since I dont go online with my xbox360 I am thinking this should be fine.

If I havent said it before, I'll say it now. This is the best and easiest guide to follow. I used this method with dozens of 360 and works great. Thanks for a easy and simple guide.

I updated to ixtreme 1.2c from xtreme 3.3 for halo 3 used method in this tut and everything seemed to go fine but when I rebooted my xbox 360 it is getting error 66. Now I am trying to revert back original firmware to retry flash but when I try to flash I am getting port=51 should be 70 not sure how to fix using ms 25 any help would be apprieciated.

After much reading I found out that my drive is showing as ms28 MB is looking for ms25 that is why it seems I am getting this error 66. Now I am trying to reflash will I have to get via chipset pci card since my dvd drive thinks it is a ms28? I have tried to use 0800 disc on single layer which ixtreme 1.2c supports but no luck any help would be appriciated.

Well got my xbox 360 working again seems needed to burn 0800 disc to DL disc then flashed with no problem to ixtreme1.2c. Halo 3 online

my backups offline

life is good.
